My voice /data performance started getting really crappy, like often nothing, so I went to an AT&T store and had them swap out the sim card.

FWIW, I then ran a speedtest.net test and got 40 down there in the store, and more elsewhere. Plus they put in an Isis-compatible sim, so I got the $50 credit for signing up. LTE is way better now.

Just a suggestion for anyone experiencing the same. I was thinking of replacing my N5, but I'm definitely good for now.

Were you getting the "new Sim added. Please restart your device" message every now and then? I'd so, did the new sim fix that?

No, I wasn't getting that message, and there was no charge. A CSR on the phone suggested I change my sim when I called to complain about the poor signal/connection I was getting
