New Update 1-11-12

I can also confirm like many others that my EVO 3D has better battery life than before, performance seems a lot better (specifically in animation) and that also CarrierIQ is no longer installed!!! I feel happy now. :)

Re: New Update

Seriously it feels like I have a new phone. I will never upgrade to a different phone as long as HTC keeps coming out with updates. Plus with ICS coming in the near future, whats the point of upgrading to a new device?

Unfortunately they will eventually quit supporting the phone with updates..its the circle of life.

I agree, but with the addition of ICS, ithat will keep be interested in the E3D for another six months to a year. The new devices being released, for the most part they have the same specs at the 3d. Just more memory, but the E3D 1GB suits well with me.

with my new rubberized case and the new update my phone deafening feels like it's brand new::D

Got the update and am wondering what's with the change to the "HTC Hub and HTC Likes" apps?
You now have to sign in to use the app????

I don't mind doing it, but all of a sudden they tell you "..your phone # and email address will be used to suggest connections to friends who also use HTC Sense."

What is the benifit of doing this....and why is it different now???

My phone was like that from the start...got it a month ago.

The update worked fine for me. The Market eventually updated, other than that, not really noticing anything so far.

I've had my phone about a year now, and haven't been to the Hub or Likes for about a month or so....
but I'm sure I didn't have to sign in???

Phone has been out 6 months, how have you had yours for a year?

Lol, maybe like the IRS...round up when it's above the halfway point ;)

Haha! That works when you're talking about $1, but not when talking about product life cycles that are often measured in months instead of years. ;) Talking about having a phone for a year when it's only been out for half that time? Really?

But the point is people tend to exaggerate when they're trying to justify a weak argument. Doing so just makes their argument even weaker because their credibility goes out the window.

I know when it launched, sometime in June/july I think. I don't know about the other person I got mine for free from a friend who works for HTC last Feb. Good to know people. So that's how I have had mine for almost a year!
