New update now downloading 7/9/13 11:00 AM ET

I get the feeling that ATT is doing some sort of staged rollout. I've tried setting the time ahead (I'm on July 26th now T_T), and it hasn't pulled the OTA. Yet.

I just had to manually check for update. Took about 5-10 mins for it to notice it had an update waiting (Just hung on the "Checking server" message). Downloading now at 26%. Very slowly at about 0.30MB/s over Wi-Fi.

I did the OTA update first and I've subsequently hooked my phone into Kies and I get a message that says "Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update firmware via Kies."

I did the same thing. Did you ever find a fix? I also got a message on my phone when I plugged it in that told me the same thing that I could go to the kies website and download the correct software. You can PM me if it would be easier.

I looked at my apps and knox notification manager and knox store was preinstalled on my 1337 s4.

Anyways, music player has improved alot. No distortion sound on bass anymore.

Did you update via Kies or OTA? I updated via OTA and don't have those under my apps. What is it for anyway, the Samsung Knox?

I did OTA as well. You need to go to the app manager and look under all apps.

Thanks sharpehenry! I thought there was a separate icon created under applications. Didn't look under application manager. So is it an app that runs in the background that's why there's no icon/shortcut for it under Applications?

Also, I noticed the "i" icon next to About Device turned yellow -- I believe it used to be blue. Anyone else have that after the update?

Does anyone else find text rendering visibly better after this update?

It may be a placebo effect. But I find that text display is better - especially black text on white background.

I can't tell. But I can say that the stutter that I typically get and the lag with scrolling is gone. So far loving the update and I knew samsung would find a way to fix those issues. So glad I stayed with the phone. Even with games that I play that usually has lags stopped lagging!

I believe it just runs on background, mostly home users would use for data leakage problem and strong data encryption. To use it fully, I'm guessing your company has to have knox enterprise set up as MDM (mobile device management.) I may be wrong but that's how I understood it.

@sharpehenry, can you also check your 'About Device' on your phone. When you're under the Settings -- More tab, is the circle of the "i" next to/on the left of About Device now shaded in yellow instead of blue? I could've sworn it was blue like my Galaxy Note before the update. Thanks!

yes, they changed the icon.

It was a very slow download but after the download completed and everything updated I received a "download has been interrupted" message.

I was able to successfully download the software update last night via OTA. Tonight, I connected to Kies to try and move some files around. I can't help but notice the same message I got when my device was connected: Your device's current firmware version is not supported to update via Kies. Why is that? Why wouldn't it say "Your current firmware is up to date" or something to that effect. Is it because we got our update via OTA and it hasn't trickled down to Kies that there's an update being rolled out by US carriers? Does it mean for subsequent updates, we can only update via OTA and not via Kies anymore? Would love to hear your thoughts about this. Thanks!
