New update now downloading 7/9/13 11:00 AM ET

I tried the date trick all the way to the 28th and still no update. Tried clear data etc on google services none of that working for me either.

I've been trying the "date & time" trick to check for the update more than once per day but I'm now having to set my date all the way to august 20. This is beyond frustrating.

I wonder if Samsung and AT&T went back to the drawing board because with I337UCUAMF3 update, KIES no longer support the device.

One point about this update. (I think it has been mentioned in some other threads here as well.)

- If this is the OTA that replaces version UCUAMDL with version UCUAMF3 it does bring some changes, but also eliminates the ability to root the i337 (for now).
- So if you update and you (were) rooted, you will lose your root privileges after the update; and you will not be able to re-root your S4 until a new exploit is found.

Tried again last night (as I've been trying every day), and the update actually showed up. I downloaded and updated without incident. So it took a while to become available on my phone, but at least it finally showed up.

Mine updated today. Checked updates OTA and it was there. Crazy its been almost a month.

it took 2 hours for the update to download over my fast wifi. Got 4.2.2 not 4.3
Now find that trying to crop photos doesn't seem to let me adjust crop area under the free option.
Can move some apps to SD card.
That all I see new.

I am debating on installing the new software update. I have read that after the software upgrade, the phone gets hot and battery life has declined. Has anyone experience any of these issues or other issues?

I downloaded the update 2 days. yesterday my battery life was less and it was not charging while connected via usb to my pc. Also seems to show consistent download from wifi as the orange arrow keeps flickering. today seems better but will have to see. I suspect there will be a patch in next upgrade

I updated when it was first released, and it only took one try.

My battery life has not been affected, and it doesn't get hot.

There is a new root exploit that works with this update on the xda forums. However you still cannot install a custom recovery nor a custom rom.

I was on the phone with AT&T 2 weeks ago, tried to update it then (after buying the SD card, and not having the ability to move apps to it yet), and I got nothing for an update...just updated yesterday.

One thing that was changed, and is a major negative for me, is that I lost the ability to create a mobile hotspot. I called AT&T, and they say I have to give up my Unlimited Data plan, and adopt one of their other data plans...and that's not going to happen. If anyone knows of a work around, app, or other solution, I'm all ears.

Guys if u are updating your S4 via OTA, I have found a workaround for waiting a day to redo the update. Just set your clock a day ahead.

One way is to root and install a hotspot app.
Another way I have heard is use ES File Explorer, Tools, Net Manager, Create a Hotspot. Without the required data plan, you will get an error, but hit the home button and maybe it will work.
