Plug your device in the pc. Your phone and pc will talk to each other for a few minutes...maybe even closer to ten. You should see a colored box come up with COM and a number. Number is irrelevant, if you see it the device is recognized. Wait for any drivers to install. Once everything is done talking, click start. This starts the flashing of the device. Let it go. Can take up to ten to fifteen minutes.

ok my phones in download mode and i have odin up but nothings happening

theres nothing on thes no green box n no number in id com and in the messages bit all i get is <osm> all threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 0

Ok. Let's try downloading updated Samsung drivers. Google search for it. As we are in different countries, what I come up with will be different.

For right now, leave it in download mode.
You may need to unplug the device.
Try bringing up ODIN and then replugging in the device.
at this point try a different port.

as ive just tryed a diffrent port now ive got a number in id com witch says 0:[COM8] now what shud i do click start?

Yes. The device and the PC are on the same page. Take not of which port you used. For future reference.
