Of course you are correct on the use of Android when I should have said Apple. By "patriotism" I mean a kind of blind loyalty that one has to corporate products irrespective of the value of the individual item. The idea is that some look upon someone going from Android to Apple is committing treason.
Does Apple have anything to do with the Target or any other deal? I'm not sure what the "Fair Trade " laws permit in terms of price fixing but as an outside observer the price does undercut Apple's own sales from their site and stores by $120 or 24%, not chump change. As I said before, "Let the competition begin!"

Only fanboys would look at it as treason. Money doesn't grow on trees, and you buy what's best for you. Apple probably wouldn't allow them to sell it for $380. That's where the gift card comes in.
I won't settle for anything less than front facing stereo speakers now.
I've lost hope for that after the Nexus 5, unfortunately. Oh, HTC One and Nexus 10 2012 and your wonderful speakers...

New leaks purport that LG is El Goog's manufacturing partner, that it will come in both black and white, and that it will be released on 11/22/2013:

This article has been updated by Pocket-Lint to say that they have be contacted by Telefonica O2 and that the image didn't come from them and that they don't know anything about a forthcoming Nexus 10.

Oh well... Asus or LG or whoever... Let's see some valid news already!

Here's another purported render / press shot:

Interesting, news seems to be picking up the past few days again. Maybe this is the week with the Google Play tablet update happening as some suspected.

Interesting to see LG's name suddenly popping up, we have seen the LG-V510 pop up previously because of the bluetooth cert back late October. Most assumed it was a variation of the G Pad 8.3 which is a V500 so a LTE version or something...some others speculated it was potentially the Nexus 8.

Guess we will find out soon enough.

I want it to be true as much as the rest of you but this might be someone preying on that bluetooth filing.

I must admit the central forward speaker is weird. I suppose if LG implemented technology from their soundbars though it would make sense. Perhaps we get one forward and two side speakers too we can't see in the render. That definitely would make sense

Well at this point the only REAL information we have is that the LG-V510 is an actual device. What it is and how if at all it relates to any Nexus is a guess at this point.

It passed certification almost a month ago, so the model itself is nothing new. However it was never linked to potentially being a N10 in the past.

This article claims the nexus 10 will be released either Nov. 22 or Nov. 29. Interestingly, it says the nexus 10 will be available in 16, 32 AND 64 gb sizes.
Wonder if the 64 gb part is true?
Link: Nexus 10 2 Release Date News: Nov. 22 or 29 to Compete With Black Friday 2013 Walmart Sales for iPad Air, iPad Mini 2 (Features Video)

This is not a reliable source. They've been posting rumors almost daily for weeks. Most are reposts from other unreliable sources. I get rss feeds from AC and Slashgear - both solid resources. If there is a release date or credible "rumor", they'll post it and post it fast. There's nothing. That's why neither AC or SG have posted even a whisper on the the 10 2 in weeks. AC is like the NY Times of Android news. Those other sources are the National Inquirer. :-D

I have to agree. When the rumors of a new N10 started to circulate a couple of months ago, I decided I would get one. But with the possibility that it won't be here before the holidays, I had to send my letter off to Santa. I waited as long as I could, but Santa will be bringing me the Surface 2. Had Google had even hinted about the N10 coming soon, or even in January I would have waited. But the doubt finally overcame me and I made a decision. That's money that Google could have had, and I wonder how many others are like me. You sound about ready to spring for a new Air, so that's 2 customers Google could lose. I'm sure there are more.

I am REALLY interested in learning from those who have Android experience but have actually bought and used the iPad Air. I saw a "Black Friday" ad for an "Air" for $449. I'm getting almost desperate in getting a new tablet and can't abide these constant rumors about the "10 2". If I knew it was definitely and officially coming out I might wait a little but I'm getting blue holding my breath. I am very suspicious that it is not coming out soon. With the Air and mini 2 out already what can "big G" possibly gain by not even hinting at a viable product if only to keep prospective buyers, like me, from buying a competing product? And to the doubters - Yes, there are many people out there who have bought an Air who might have considered a Nexus, if it had existed.

Exactly. Make that 3 if it isn't out by next Friday. I will probably just get an iPad air from target. Either that out the 290 refurbished nexus from woot

I've been checking the play store every 15 seconds since noon and keep getting the same message, "You, the consumer, are beneath contempt and not worthy on knowing what month I will deign to let you buy it from me." If I can get the iPad Air for $479, plus a $100 gift card, next Thursday I will jump. A friend of mine got one and I can't believe how thin it is and what great pictures it takes. I was a little hesitant about the N10 because it is essentially a new model and I don't like to be a paying tester, especially in the light of past history with the "old" N10. Now, ironically, I am hoping the N10 2 DOESN'T come out so I will be forced to buy the Air.
I'd still like to hear from anyone who has used Android tablets in the past and now uses the Air and how they compare.

Why? There has been no announcement about a Nexus 10-2.

Not sure if you are being silly or literal. But, like most companies, Google is not going to put anything on their web site about a product until the product is actually announced, officially. Exactly the same with Apple.

I don't know what you mean by "announced, officially". How does G announce it "Officially". As I recall they didn't really announce "officially" the N5. It was just there riding along with the announcement for 4.4. What amazes me is not G's silence but the absolute absence of real leaks. Nobody even knows who is manufacturing it. If it supposed to be announced and ready to ship soon they must have already been assembled and ready to ship somewhere.Think of all the factory workers, shippers, and vendors all over the world and nobody can come up with a fuzzy cell phone foto or database entry? In talking with an intelligent non-techie the thought was raised that either it doesn't exist yet or they are having major problems in producing it. Add the fact that G is not really a hardware firm and lacks hardware marketing experience I am beginning to doubt we will see it soon. If I'm right, remember you heard it here first.
