Hi all,

sorry if this is the wrong section of the forum for this question.

Does anyone know why Nexus 4 is not picking up the mobile optimizes sites but rather showing the regular desktop side. For example, Sportnachrichten - kicker online has an mobile optimized but when I visit it it's showing the regular site.

Is there a setting I need to change on my phone or is it an "issue" with the code on the actual site?

Appreciate your help!

I actually like that most sites render as the full desktop version and not the mobile version. That said, some sites do recognize the mobile or have an option somewhere on the page. There's probably a way to force mobile if you want, but I'm not sure what that might be.

If your using Chrome, check to make sure "request desktop" is not enabled. To do this open Chrome, tap menu, then a little more than halfway down, you'll see "request desktop site" with a checkbox next to it, make sure it is unchecked. Otherwise it will try and force the desktop website, not the mobile version.

If I may make a suggestion....forget using Chrome. Dolphin HD browser is much better. In the settings you can opt to see mobile.. desktop and etc. It WILL show mobile pages if that's what you choose. Chrome has been a hit and miss for me. I use Dolphin and haven't looked back since.

Just checked the desktop setting and it's not checked.

Thanks
