Phone dropped in bathroom today, front cracked badly and touch doesn't work at all either now. Small part of bottom cracked too. Can I send it in to Google to fix since I bought it in December or get it fix since my earpiece volume was incredibly low due to the crackling/shaking thing? Where can i get it fixed and more importantly how fast/how much?

Please, if anyone knows any ways to get it fixed or any website or even better a place in NYC that does it, please please help.

If you bought it directly from Google play, contact Google to see what they can work out for you. Expect to pay a hefty $150 to $250 as other internal parts may have to be replaced. You said bathroom.. Was it on the floor or one of the tragic toilet stories? *shivers *

Only on the floor from the counter thank god so I HOPE it was just the digitizer/screen. The Display still works but the Screen is cracked and the touch doesn't function either. I'm expecting the 150 comign anyway, it's not like any other place does it for cheaper and I hope that LG would at least use the proper parts. I only imagine how long it would take.

Just to be sure, it's this number, right?

Looks about right to me! Let us know how it goes down. :)

Called Play, the representative was very nice and said Google was not fixing and gave me the number for LG and told me to call them...

Called LG, said that they'd only be able to give me a quote after I send it in. I'll call them again later after I decide what to do. I have a slight feeling that they might just charge me extra to pretty much just fix everything that doesn't need fixing but yeah. Thoughts?

You can always take your luck with a local repair shop that will pretty much replace the screen area. Same LG will be doing most likely. :)

They mosy likely need it in just to see the condition before giving you a cost or quote. Dropped my phone a while back too.

Best of luck!

If only any local repair shops could probably repair anything but iPhones....

Will check out the Brighton Beach local repair shop that my TMobile guy refered me to. Until then, anyway I can check my texts from my sister's Nexus with my SIM or online or something?

Just keep the sim out if the phone and plug it into another phone and they should start coming out. Then take it out and they'll be waiting for u when you pop it back in. :)

I'd be fine with that but I'm not sure how much I like the idea of having it replaced with a refurb [YOU NEVER KNOW WHETHER IT'S A GOOD ONE OR NOT!!!!] and me losing all my data though I take it that may happen eitherway?

If you're on a budget then purchase a front and back screen from eBay and repair your phone by urself. If you aren't on a budget then call Google and Google will give u LG's number and you call them. The back of my nexus is cracked but I'm repairing it myself. If you do purchase the parts from eBay, make sure its a 100% original item because some of the parts they sell don't include parts like NFC or wireless charging.
