Even though they say don't do it, I cleared Google Framework and it updated as soon as I clicked on "check for updates".

Good luck having annoyances on your phone until you factory reset it then..

You're welcome ;)

Here in Calgary, still waiting! Hopefully i get it before weekend so i can play around with it haha

Update: Cleared Google Services Framework and Boom, the update shows up. Now I just have to wait to go home and connect it to WiFi. So far no gloom and doom by clicking clear data on GSF. M still using data, play store is fine. All the other services are running as normal.

I have 5GB data, can i not just force it to download through network, It will be at least 4 hours before I get wifi access. Oh well, till then I will just stare at the screen!

I did the same and got 4.4. Same with 4.3. Only things I had to do was readd my Google account. Turn location back on. Never factory reset when I got 4.3 . so it's not that annoying

Same lol. First it said no updates. Then I clear the frame work, hit update again and now I'm on 4.4

Once the download was complete and i tried to open it "cant open file" was displayed..any help

Unzipped and nothing happened. It unzipped and didn't restart.

Possibly I misunderstood or referred to the wrong thing. I thought the zip file @itic was asking about was the 238.9 MB OTA update file shown in post #62 above. After my download completed all I did was accept with one click and the update installed and then rebooted on its own. It took about 5 minutes or less.

Thanks. Don't think I'll update to KitKat now since I have heard it disables tethering. This is one feature I use often.

If you download it from the links, you have to install it via ADB and sideloading through recovery. Your phone itself won't know what to do with it.

(There's probably a link on how to do this on AC somewhere, but it wasn't in their article about the OTA links (HINT HINT admins!), and the one I used is the first that showed up in a Google search.)

It was the link furnished in post # 55. Im just going to have to wait...

the first time my phone came up with the 4.4 update it told me verification failed Screenshot_2013-11-21-15-42-53.png
so I restarted my phone and tried again and now it keeps telling me "Couldn't download" Screenshot_2013-11-22-11-48-22.png
Any Ideas?

Hey Saad just a quick couple of questions. Which wallpaper are u using? Do u mind pm'ing it to me? And also what's that little icon on the bottom right side of the screen? Looks like location or maps icon.

The icon is for hangouts. Unless you're talking about the Tapatalk logo.

Just got it in MD. After checking for updates several times earlier, I gave up and decided it wasn't happening today and that I'd probably get in on the tail end of the updates like I seemed to last time. Then as I was getting ready to go out and picked up my phone, there was a new icon at the top that I didn't recognize. When I pulled it down, it said an update was ready to be installed and tap to install .

15 minutes +/- it's up and running.
