Nexus 4 Ordered on November 27: Order Status and Tracking

No it didn't, this is stretching it
yeah maybe but i only say this because the people with 2-3 weeks didn't need to do the tab method because the phones were already restocked in the play store and google was fixing the issues with the masses of people trying to buy a phone. And the people with 2-3 weeks are already recieving more info on their package.

this caused them to sit in what is referred as customs lock up until the entire order is complete. This held them over the weekend and maybe they even decided to hold the shipment to understand why the cartons for the order were split.

this is where they need to communicate with the customer with either a formal statement or email of some sort. that would've made this so much better.

BTW I agree with your assessment

i asked yesterday... lets see what they say. i tried to avoid trolling them as much as possible (it was very hard and tempting though)...

Sounds good to me. I have submitted a lost package claim through UPS - so I am going the passive aggressive route for now. LOL

1-2 weeker, didnt do tab method, no tracking updates whatsoever

Air? Isn't that like a 3 or 4 hour drive? :)

Yup...but some people live down the road from UPS. That doesn't mean they can just drive there. Any ways, no yellow box of death or whatever you guys call it. Got the email this morning and it is already updated. Still won't believe it until I see it. I did order my straight talk sim though. Free overnight shipping through the 17th!

Well, Google Play Suport CSR just told me this:
If you were in the 1-2 weeks shipping window, you should wait for that window to close, and then call again for shipping refund
I also mentioned the mess with the order of purchasing, the rep told me that this is rare issue (so rare that almost everyone within 2-3 window is experimenting
I just give up, if the phone doesnot come by next wednesday I will cancel the order and request refund

Have fun, you'll definitely get it by Friday, because UPS actually knows the phone is in the system...
as for mine, I don't know :(

And for what it's worth I...

1. Did the tab over proceed enter
2. Got one at 5:47 pm EST
3. Was in 1-2 weeks
4. Got shipping email at 4 am on 12/6/12
5. It is updated already. In KY and on its way. Estimated Friday.

Cleary there is no method to the madness. stop trying to figure it out. You'll give yourself high blood pressure and ulcers.

Except, the 1-2 week estimate is a totally separate issue from the 2 day shipping promise.

But I guess technically, if everyone gets their phone this Fri (1-2 weekers and 2-3 weekers) and exactly at the 2 week mark... then Google is still correct in their estimates for both. LOL

if the 'ships in 1-2 weeks' means ships in 7-14 business days, then dec 18th is the deadline. thats later than i thought

Many of the 2-3 week people also ordered on the 27th, but just a couple hours after after the 1-2 weekers did. And there were still site problems when they ordered.

shipped email today or 30th? apparently ones sent on the 30th have been stuck in YBOD

Probably today. From what i've seen, maybe 1 person who got a shipping notification on the 30th has actually got tracking on it

and the optimist in me is hoping that my ybod package is on its way, just lacking tracking

I placed my order in at 4:58pm PST California.
I linked the phone to my google account.
My debit card had a pending charge and then later was dropped. In my email i was stated for 2-3 week shipping time frame.

No email or charge on my card as of yet. I will hold out until Monday of next week.

Cant believe shipping has become this hectic for everyone for one damn phone.

I will come out straight and say it...I LOVE UPS. I've ordered many car parts straight from Japan and Europe and they've arrived in a timely manner through UPS. But this one damn phone...is ridiculous.

I would probably want my refund for the phone if it doesnt arrive in the 2 business day mark..after the origin scan..I'm a broke ass college student wanting to leave Verizon's clutches so badly.. :-/

It would appear the 11/30-12/1 shipping notices were accidental, but Google's system says they were shipped. When the time came to actually ship phones, the system picked up at the first unshipped order. I'm guessing everyone who received the 11/30-12/1 shipping notification is SOL.

That's exactly right. Those were mistakes. The people that got the shipping email this morning were actually in the 1-2 weeks shipping window. Think the 30th ones were a mistake for the most part. Some are working though.
