I have a problem where the centre of my phones touchscreen is un-responsive due to a drop.

I accidentally set a pin code on my Nexus4 running Android 4.3 and unfornately when i try to enter the pin, one of the number of the pin is in the unresponsive part of the screen.

I had thought that entering the pin enough time would prompt for my gmail or something but so far i've tried 85 times and still nothing. All it says is wait 30 seconds and try again.

Other than the last resort of a factory reset as i really dont want to loose everything on there is there anything else i can do?

I don't suppose it will let you go to landscape and change the location of entering the pin when landscape mode is enabled?

Had a similar situation last week, phone dropped, 1/2 screen unresponsive, unable to unlock (can't use the keypad), no way to access (I had not bothered to configure the 'locked screen' widget feature), received calls fine.....Sorry to tell you, your screen needs to get replaced.
Went to T-Mobile & requested/received a phone "loaner" (ca.1999 technology, $60 w/ tax, refundable when you get your phone back), pulled my sim card from my N4 & placed into the loaner, that's it. Sent my phone (overnight) to a repair place in Kansas - google "N4 screen repair" & you'll have some choices other than LG, in light of a quick net search/talking on the phone w/ them, they take their time - & should have it back by tomorrow (hopefully perfect). Good luck.
