I'm going to be switching SIM cards for my Nexus 4. After the recent android update to 4.4 my phone has had some issues. I'm wondering if anyone has updated their Nexus to 4.4 and is currently using an AT&T straight talk SIM card. Is everything working for you? Any issues? Thanks very much in advance!

That is exactly the setup that my wife is currently using. Nexus 4, Android 4.4 KitKat, Straight Talk AT&T SIM card. No issues so far! What issues are you having?

I think it works better than 4.3. My wifi connections seem to work better. No issues here.

After the update it wouldn't be able to locate my SIM card. Happened Monday, Wednesday, and yesterday. I had to do a factory reboot each time for it to locate the SIM. Hoping that switching to AT&T will help. Asked the straight talk folks and all they told me was they don't support updates.

Android 4.4, AT&T Straight Talk and Nexus 4. No issues, and no difference then when I was on 4.3.

Same here, no problems. I even have tethering available if I plug in my USB and Hotspot is available. I don't use either but they are available.

Exact set up that I am using. After updating to 4.4 my battery life has decreased and phone takes forever to charge. As for phone calls and MMS, everything is fine.

Sounds like a bad sim or hardware problem. Did you happen to cut the sim yourself?

I did cut the sim. But I cut it in April when I first purchased the phone and it just started giving me problems.

Same issue. After updating my Samsung Infuse to 4.4 (Custom Rom), I am having issues with the phone knowing it has a simcard in it. Changing roms brings back my IMEI and phone info, but when I put the ST sim card in, it cannot find the sim card. Slipped the sim card in my wife's Galaxy S2 and didn't even have to set up APN settings, phone was ready to go. My phone however is a different story. Don't know if it's the custom rom, or ST card. May be a combination of the two.

I can't seem to find the right APN settings of an AT&T SIM for my nexus 4 running the updated 4.4 version... Can anyone please let me know exactly what I should do? On the straightalk website they only have the instructions for Android 4.0 & 4.1 which seems to be missing a few steps... This is my first time ever switching carriers and dealing with this! Thank you in advance.
