There's technically only 1 model. Stores like best buy are trying to only sell them for sprint service. But again, it's the same model no matter where you buy it and can be used on LTE, tmobile or sprint. When you say "it says it is only available....". Who exactly is "it"?

On the purchase page there is no option for any carrier besides sprint

In case you hadn't considered it - you can buy it from the Google Play store, then get an un-subsidized AT&T plan for it.

On what purchase page? That's what I'm asking you. Are you talking about the play store? If so, then just select "buy now" then it takes to where you select your storage size. Select the one you want then select Google play. It'll take you to the cart to check out. Simple as that.
