Nexus 5 is better than the iPhone.

Hmm, haven't tried mine at night but that's true. Even when I only had 4G and the download was around 7-10 I could still load pages easily and they didn't take too long to load :)
If Vodafone is getting close to 100 down there must be VERY little people using the network.
It's not very little people using it. Second largest carrier, but it has very few people using LTE on it. That's why we can hit 150mbps somewhat consistently.

Yeah, very little people using LTE...

rofl, the dwarves and hobbits have very different perceptions of what "little people" are haha. Wonder which ones use LTE.

We're seriously debating data speeds in Middle Earth? Does this end in someone proving a Nexus or an iPhone is objectively better than the other? ;)

Not what I meant by little people :p
And no, not arguing data speeds just questioning the data speeds since they seem unrealistically high XD

I expect it to be a little different. New Zealand, in addition to being Middle Earth, is about the size of Texas (total land mass) with about 1/6th of the population of Texas (actually it's 4-4.5 million, just about tied with our 25th largest state by population, Louisiana). With much (65%) of that concentrated in in the top 10 cities and 40% in just the top 2 cities. Low population densitity and localization might make it really easy to provide very good service for low expense.

That's what I meant by "network congestion" hehe. Even if we had that stream here in the U.S. (we might, idk) we wouldn't get speeds any higher than 30 Mbps with so many :(

I feel very happy right now. Cause we can hit those speeds:P

It's cool, I get it.. you're saying there are too many Americans and that most of them are too tall and too fat to fit in a hobbit's world. It's cool...

(Insert line about the statements made by this poster do not represent the views of Android Central, it's affiliates... etc :) lol)

I thought you meant very little people used the carrier. Sorry:/

When did I say anything like that? D:

I think this guy did the exact same type of video with the same shots for a Nexus vs S4 comparison too, but I may be mistaken about that. Either way I was surprised to see how well the Nexus was doing given Nexus' history for cameras, or at least their reputation.
Didn't see the video but from the thumbnail I think that the 5S has sharper, brighter shots (maybe a little overexposed) and the N5 looks more vibrant with more contrast but not as sharp :p

To me, in the context of their respective reputations... Nexus is known for terrible cameras and the iPhone is known for top of the line cameras. Just that we're bothering to compare their strengths and weaknesses against each other to assess relative position is saying A LOT for the Nexus' progression on this front.

2 days with N5.. coming from IP4.
Comparing ios7 with kit Kat.. I see some glaring omissions in KitKat like lack of screen orientation lock and global volume control

Try Settings > Acessibility > (Auto Rotate Screen toggle) for the orientation lock. For volumes, yeah music, apps, etc and ringtones and alarms all have different sliders.

Agreed, I think it's more due to the software. On my GS4 when I had the TW camera I could take great shots in many conditions, now with an AOSP ROM with the Stock Android camera I can definitely see a degradation in quality. Google needs to step up their camera game :p

I was talking more of a toggle switch like the ones for WiFi or bt. Still looking for volume control app/widget which can work with hw button

The 1020 doesn't count. The iPhone offers the best camera in any smartphone for the majority of users. Period.

How doesn't it count? Its a smartphone also. And I disagree about iphone has the best camera. Honestly nokia does have the best cameras in there phones besides samsung.
