Nexus 5 'Leaks' (evleaks, Carphone Warhouse, LG Canada)

Noticed that the camera ring doesn't match up with the power button on the side and rear shots. Just an oversight, likely.

Really? I've had 0 issues keeping mine clean. I don't have a case or skins for it either.

White Nexus will always have an all black front. No one should expect any different in the future. All black front means it will be a featureless, monolithic facade...and I love it! Besides, it's all about the screen right?

#Google

Can't sleep. Always happens to me on Sunday nights. Yes working at Google is that exciting.

Hey +Sundar Pichai you struggling to fall asleep too?

Pichai runs Android so this is interesting.

Looks like the N10 leaked out this morning on Google Play, same as the N5 did last week. These teases are definitely intentional.

Read the comments in the pictures floating around on G+. Lots of people are pointing out errors in the image, and saying it's fake.

I guess this is one way to market your products without paying much for marketing. Use the heads of the teams to troll their social media pages and intentionally leak the said products on your own sales site.... genius.

i wish i could just put my F'ing pre-order in so i wouldn't have to monitor the F'ing news. i'm afraid i'll miss it before it sells out.

Funny you mentioned that because I told someone that this morning. I'd hate to not monitor the N5 news, come back hours later and its sold out for weeks. I would be one pissed off person! Ugh! Hopefully Best Buy stores get them as well. Google sucks with their launches and always run out of stock for days/weeks. You would think they would get it together and not sell out in minutes.

1. well worst case scenario i guess i could order the Nexus 5 from my smartphone browser if i'm out and about - but that can be sketchy at best - especially given what happened last year with the site.
2. i wonder if Best Buy would price the Nexus 5 the same as Play Store? or limit purchases to "new contracts or renewals". i could see them doing that. this would F me up because i will not be signing any new contracts - i just want to buy the phone outright for $350. can you imagine showing up at Best Buy and they refuse to sell you the phone without a contract?
3. we will be at the mercy of not only Google but LG - hopefully they both have ramped up production and supply.

It's funny, you and I have almost identical reasons for wanting the Nexus 5 (outside of it actually being a "seemingly" really good device). Good reason to drop Sprint and finally be off contract and not tethered to a carrier.

That said, that is all I want to do. Put my damn pre-order in so I can stop hitting the news sites every hour to check if there are any updates.

Funny how hard Google is trolling, the people there almost seem like the unpopular kids in high school. Now that they have some pull boy are they trolling for all of those missed opportunities of their youth.

At this point, I'm more excited about the Nexus 5 announcement/launch since it'll end silly speculation like this. The fact that we get a new phone too is purely a bonus.

Sprint OG EVO got me to Android. Sprint G-Nex got me to semi-pure Android. and Nexus 5 will get me to pure Android and GSM/No Contract/SIM Card freedom.

what carrier are you switching to? are you paying Sprint any ETF? will you consider staying with Sprint if Nexus 5 works on it?

I happen to live in an area where Sprint LTE frick'n rocks, so I'll stay. Also, I don't want to lose my Google voice.

i'm switching to the GoPhone $60/Month Plan, i'm paying $120 prorated ETF to Sprint to leave 6 months early, and i won't consider staying with Sprint even if the Nexus 5 is available. i'll get enough monthly savings with the GoPhone $60 plan plus the sale of my G-Nex to cover the $120 ETF. Sprint has been a decent value since 2008 for me but lately i have problems with SMS/MMS and speeds can be flaky even though i'm in a top 10 US city/LTE market. i just want to cut the cord and be free and get it over with.
