Nexus 5 ordering anxiety

A thread like that exist for every single flagship device ever release. People just like to share tracking info about their device and complain if it doesn't get there on time as thee expect for some reason. Expect the same rush as with the Nexus 4, especially due to the price it will sell at. Either be the first to order, or wait until the smoke clear and get feedbacks to avoid any launch hardware issues.
Perhaps length of time that the Nexus 4 was out of stock just made it more apparent (or the fact that I was in those threads lol). Regardless, Google only has room to improve their phone launch with the Nexus 5. I can't imagine it being any worse than the Nexus 4 launch.

The cost may be a factor in initial orders. That is a big unknown.

I think i will wait until January 2014 before moving the specs arent convincing me to move right away

It will have 4.95-inch 1080p IPS screen and a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 with 2GB of RAM, LTE, 16 or 32GB, 8mp OIS camera so hoping it to be a good bit better on the photography front.

As Long as the price is roughly the same then its going to be another sell out :)

After seeing the (alleged) n5 specs, I'm feeling pretty good about coming late to the n4 party.

I've been waiting long enough...OIS, 32GB,LTE....more than enough. Oh and also Qui charging I've got a dual charge plate just begging for 2nd phone. I was glad to hear that.

As far as getting through the ordering chaos.

I think it helps to have a very fast internet connection and already have a wallet account.

I'll be shooting for 2 and the N4 will be the spare and my GN can be sold off.

Can't wait....:)

Guys I have not owned a nexus device. Is it assumed and confirmed that Verizon will NOT be getting this phone? I thought I saw a leak last week that showed CDMA lte noted in the specs. If this would be coming to VZW I would hold off on getting the note 3 this weekend.

It could have the Verizon LTE bands...if you don't need CDMA you might wait.

Hope they improve the volume levels on the Nexus 5. I can barely hear the audio on my Nexus 4 when on speaker phone.

Yes, I know the Nexus 5 hasn't even been officially announced yet.

But I was just thinking about all the craziness many of us went through on that day in which the N4 was first available. Phones disappearing from carts. Endless errors. Confusion on whether or not we got an order through. Some people seeing charges for multiple orders. Endless forum postings about the ordering process (followed soon thereafter with endless "It shipped!" and "wtf, mine hasn't shipped!" messages).

It's likely I'll want an N5. It's likely I'll feel the need to order one on day one. It's likely they'll be all sorts of ordering confusion. Will I spend hours clicking an "Add to Cart" button? Will I hit my head against the wall when the N5 disappears from my cart?

Yes, first world problems, I know. Wait a week or two after launch and those problems likely won't exist. Yet I still think about the whole process. Anyone else?

I got my N4 when I left Verizon a few months ago. The only gripe is no Otter box case is made for it. :((

The article says the 16GB version will have a 2300mAh battery while the 32GB version will have a 3000mAh battery. I would love to believe that battery rumor. I am sure many people will believe it because they really want to. Do you think it could really be true though? It is not an unprecedented idea.. It is kinda like droid razr and razr maxx. Same phone with a bigger battery option. If it is true it is the best N5 rumor yet.

They would need two body sizes to accomodate the different battery thicknesses, that seems like an unecessary complication.

In my opinion I think the Nexus 5 is a bit ugly compared to the Nexus 4. The 5 doesn't stand out as far as looks are concerned. Great specs of course.

I honestly think it looks good, but everyone has their own opinion. Just remember that a lot of people said the HTC One (M7 at the time) was ugly but when it was released it became arguably the best looking phone.

I really hope the camera rumors of having a 8mp camera to keep costs down is untrue. Would definitely be deal breaker for me, would rather get a G2 and wait for cyanogen to do their thing.

I've never understood this (and I'm a photo snob). What are you doing with your pics that 8MP isn't enough. Are you trying to print/produce billboard sized photos?
I've captured some amazing wallpaper resolution pics with the 8MP camera in my GS3.

The razrs had devices w/both battery specs pass through the FCC. That hasn't happened with what we believe is the N5.

It seems to have less to do with the actual # of MP's (albeit that seems to be the only available bellwether) and more to do with the newness of the camera tech used in the phone.
