No where in that article does it say no mirco sd card.

It does follow convention that a nexus device will debut sans sd card, but Google made a huge choice to not only include sd card support natively in Android 6.0, but to make the sd card storage handle like it's internal storage. Why not include it on at least one of it's devices. Google doesn't intro features just to have leave them out of the device.

[Sorry] There Won't Be A MicroSD Card Slot In The Nexus 5X Or 6P

Wow 16gb with no sd card is clearly a no go for me. I bought my N5 for 399 with 32gb. I highly doubt the upgrade from 16gb to 32 gb is going to be only $20. I have no idea what google's pricing scheme is.

Slightly disappointed if that ends up being the price for the 16gb. I probably won't preorder at that price and will just wait until I see some real, in person reviews. I guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

I can't be the only one who doesn't care about wireless charging

Plug it in at night, take it off in the morning. That's all I want

Yeah no wireless charging isn't exactly a deal breaker for me as I've never had a phone with it before so I'm not reliant on it or anything. If I need some juice at the end of the day to tide me over before bed, I like to be able to just plug it in next to my sofa. I can still pick it up and use it while it keeps charging.

In fact the lack of wireless charging would save me some money since I won't be tempted to buy a bunch of charging pads to put all over the house.

Wireless charging is a nice to have, not a necessity. As long as it has quick charge, I'm fine.

I'm on the other side of the fence. Wireless charger at work that sits on my desk. put the phone down during the day.

Starbucks, General motors and other companies all are putting in wireless chargers. Wireless charging would make the transition to usb c a little less costly and painless.

It won't save you money when you have to buy all new chargers anyway when you only have one usb c plug and can't transfer data to and from you pc without buying another adapter.

Want to leave your charger at home and still charge at work? extra money

Want to charger in your car? extra money

Want to connect to your pc? extra money

LOL! Same here. Nothing like putting it on the charge pad, waiting 25 hours to charge. I hated wireless charging.

Amazon has 4 packs of USB Type C cables for 20 bucks. You can just plug it into your phone and plug the other end into your computer or plug it into any charger you already have.

Did anyone here actually expect microSD card support? Google has long made it known they feel the same about microSD that Apple does. Apparently Samsung has jumped onto that train as well. And Motorola just jumped off.

I hoped. After all, I wasn't expecting them to come out with two different models in one year either. :)

I knew it wouldn't have microSD slot, but I was hoping for 32 and 64 GB storage options.
