Actually I get a little weary of the word "plastic" and its association with cheapness. There is a huge difference between cheap plastic used in toys and polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is stronger than "premium" aluminum that scratches and dents much more easily.

The Nexus 6 back isn't made out of plastic. It's made from very high quality polycarbonate.

Well, I may not be that technologically aware as I might. But give me credit for calling it out as "premium". Like I said, I hold it just to appreciate it. Like a work of art, and one that appeals to my tastes more than the iPhone (and I'm not criticizing it, rather that I say tomaYto, you say tomaHto thing.....).

To round this out, I went ahead and got an iPhone 6 Plus. It's a really nice device, the build quality is superb.

I'm coming to the end of my first charge and I have 10% battery left. I've had 9 hours 48 minutes of screen on time and 16 hours 41 minutes standby. That's incredible.

i like to customize and tinker. i like choice and freedom. hence - i choose Android.

These iPhones are great as secondary or tertiary devices. The build quality is superb and the feel in hand (in its Tech 21 Classic ChecK) is great.

As nice as the 6 Plus was, it'll probably be a cold day in hell before I use one as my main device again. It's too limiting. Just can't do it.

I can easily agree with that. Once you've gotten used to android iOS can feel rather simple and limiting. I know it does to me but it's a nice change for the 1/4 to 1/2 of every other day (which is about how much I use my 6+).

Yeah, if you've been an Android fan, the 6 Plus will be nice for a bit, but it is so limiting. It really is a walled in garden. I couldn't handle it after awhile. Great battery life and camera couldn't save it for me. I would love one for that weekend day where I know I'm going to be out and about all day, but other than that, I'm good. It's Android for me. Using a Note 4 now and have a Nexus 6 on the way. Pretty much just flipping a coin between the two.

While I agree that Android is leagues better than iOS, I usually prioritize hardware over software. Even though I'd choose Stock > TouchWiz > iOS, for phones I'd go Note 4 > iPhone 6+ > Nexus 6 because of the hardware. Note 4 and 6+ are close enough for the software to decide it for me, but the Nexus 6 hardware is so behind that I would choose the other two over it 9 times out of 10.

The display is one of the most inaccurate of 2014 (flagships at least). Battery isn't nearly as good as the Note 4 or Nexus 6 (based on what I've seen from people who own these devices). Camera isn't as good as Note 4 or iPhone 6. And read/write speeds are incredibly slow because of the encryption in Lollipop (makes a difference mostly when downloading apps or moving files)

I need to figure out why my battery sucks so bad. My Note 4 lasted all day. Sometimes this will drop 30% in 30-45 minutes. Unless I can figure it out, I'm getting rid of it (as much as I hate that idea).

I'm not choosing iOS over Android, I still use both, it's good to be open minded. I agree that iOS can be limiting, absolutely. However I'm enjoying this so far. My Nexus 7 will give me my Android fix.

I have a live wallpaper enabled (brought one, not dark), High accuracy location services enabled, ambient display enabled, LTE always on, screen brightness 40 percent with adaptive brightness, crappy reception throughout the day at work and home (buildings are not kind to my signal) and from 6 30am to 6pm I have 50 percent battery and at 11pm I can have anywhere from 40 to 20 percent depending on the much use.

I listen to music, watch or listen to podcasts, text, make a call or two, play games, surf a lot on internet, sometimes stream HBO go at work.

One of my problems was that I had no intentions of using iTunes or their app store (at least I didn't want to pay for anything). It wasn't TOO bad using all Google's services, but for someone invested in Google like I am, it wasn't flawless. Throw in the limits of iOS and I was out. It is a great phone. I'm no iOS hater. I just couldn't do it.
