The music skipping tracks on its own in Google play music is really annoying. It has started to happen more often lately. Any chance the 5.0.1 update fixes this issue? Or is that reserved for the tablets? Or is this an issue on the Google play music app side of things?

I haven't had any big issues with my 64GB N6 I bought from directly from Motorola and using on Verizon. No reboots, no screen or wifi issues. I do sometimes see my back button arrow gets a little confused and is sometimes diagonal but a quick press fixes it.

Also, last night I tried to forward my cell number and I can't do it from the phone or through my account page. I don't use the feature much so not a big loss.

Otherwise nothing to report, the phone is great, battery life lasts me from 7am to 11pm with 2-3 hours of SOT and still have about 20% left

What is everyone's experience with the camera? I have noticed that my Nexus 6 lags a lot when opening & using the camera.

Also, I have noticed some rattles and static coming from the speakers from time to time when doing various things.

Other than the battery life still not being as good as I expected based on the size of the battery itself, those are the biggest issues I am seeing.

With HDR or flash on, very laggy. Opening it isn't been bad, and taking regular shots has been just fine.

That's exactly how any camera works. When a camera takes a true HDR image, three pictures are taken at different apertures in rapid succession and then the three images are combined in software resulting in an image that has a higher dynamic range than is possible with a single rapidly taken image. This all takes significantly more time than taking a single image.

Flash pictures take more time because each time a picture is taken, a discharged storage capacitor has to be recharged to be ready for the next flash.

Laggy is a poor word to use with its negative connotations for normal photographic processes that take longer for any camera.

When a camera takes a true HDR image, three pictures are taken at different apertures in rapid succession and then the three images are combined in software resulting in an image that has a higher dynamic range than is possible with a single rapidly taken image. This all takes significantly more time than taking a single image.

Flash pictures take more time because each time a picture is taken, a discharged storage capacitor has to be recharged to be ready for the next flash.

Laggy is a poor word to use with its negative connotations for normal photographic processes that take longer for any camera.

Well let me rephrase. Slower than average. I understand I'm not buying a phone to replace an actual camera. However the picture quality is great, in my opinion. But it's been hard for me to get a picture of my puppy for example. I've used quite a few other phone whose camera was not this sluggish.

When I first set mine up, I had it restore a backup of apps from my GS4. Not sure if that was a good idea or not because I do have some instability issues:

Wi-Fi regularly turns itself OFF when it should be On. Usually it reports an authentication error with my Asus AP, but if I have it connect again it works fine. Never had problems with this Wi-Fi on my GS4. The nexus doesn't seem to retry connecting.

Also, the phone has randomly crashed three times since I got it. Once after having it less than 24 hours, the rest after 2+ days of use. As part of these crashes I have found that the annoying AT&T startup sound always plays, even when my phone is set to silent mode and also at max volume. Not ideal if it crashes at a time when loud noises are a bad thing.

Last issue is audio quality problems with Bluetooth streaming. It sounds like the audio is playing from the other side of a spinning fan blade. If I turn off BT and then turn it back on the problem corrects itself. This is rare but has occurred twice in the last 1.5 weeks and I use BT streaming a lot.

On the good side I really do like lollipop and the new UI design. The device hardware is good, battery life has gotten better since the first few days (couldn't make it a full day on my GS4, but easily make it more than a day with the Nexus 6). The screen is beautiful and the device is always very fast/responsive.

Mine does the same thing and I have an ASUS Router as well. Wonder if is ASUS problem or the phone. If I reboot the phone it connects fine.

Most cell phone cameras do not do true HDR. Apple processes a single exposure and calls it HDR. If shot to shot speed is important, turn off HDR, turn off flash, and shoot in bright light.

Anyone else noticing the back plate starting to popup on their device? Like the adhesive that holds it on is losing its "stickiness"?

It is actually the same issue I noticed with a Moto X 2014 review unit I had a month ago.

Side by side to something like the 6+, it's a bit slow to launch. But not terribly slow. My biggest complaint is the time it takes to shoot an HDR shot. Though I belive this is because of HDR+/how Google is actually compiling an HDR photo. I thought I read somewhere it wasn't standard HDR.

It's funny because three days ago Wi-Fi just started working flawlessly. No idea why, but I don't have any connection issues any more and Wi-Fi stays on as it should. I think the only thing I've done recently is install "Device Assist" which didn't report any problems or fix anything that I'm aware of. No crashes lately either, just goodness.

Yeah sometimes my camera lags a little bit. Seems unacceptably slow at times. Guessing this correlates with my device lagging in general sometimes. Luckily I'm assuming all of this is software related and certain apps misbehaving.

I also noticed some odd pops and static coming from speakers at times when completing random actions.

My battery is definitely average. All my devices have been average so I can't complain too much. But i do agree that it should be better. I would have assumed that the size and new software would help. Let's hope software updates can improve this as well.

That's close. But not entirely true for how 5.0 processes what googs calls HDR+.

Great link! 5.0 is doing much, much more now. Impressive! I never turn HDR off unless trying to capture action, just as the link says. Thank you wsrobert!

Spoke to soon. Today mine crashed while listening to music streaming from PowerAmp in my car (screen off). Then tonight I toggled Wi-Fi off and quickly back on and it immediately crashed again.

Adding another one to the list from today. My phone crashed twice today while not in use. I noticed this evening that my Wi-Fi wasn't connected when I got home so I figured it was turned off. It was, but when I turned it on my phone seemed to have lost all of my saved Wi-Fi networks. I had to reconnect to my home Wi-Fi and am going to have to reconnect to all other networks I had saved.

I have a few issues with mine. I wish now I was able to play with one at a local store before I purchased it. The first is a design issue....I don't like the positioning of the buttons on the right. They put it pretty much in the middle and im constantly hitting buttons when I hold it. I like the on/off being at the very top and the volume up higher on the right. This has been bugging me since I got it. The second and biggest thing for me is the camera. I'm just not that wild about the camera. I think it sucks in low light and it seems considerably slower than my HTC DNA....especially when flash is involved. The last thing that I don't like is that the back of the phone has a convex shape. Now, I know that a case will most likely fix this but I know there are some people who don't like cases. Try putting your Nexus 6 down on a flat smooth surface and try to scroll through your pictures from right to left............the phone will spin and wobble depending on where your finger is when you scroll. At my work on the counters its a pain. I am waiting for a case so this will most likely not be an issue but so far the biggest thing for me is the camera. Does anyone know if the speed of the camera is something that can be fixed with a future update?
