Nexus 7 Screen Issue

Hi,

My son's Nexus 7 is showing a strange screen issue, see attached image that I took with my DSLR+macro lens.

It doesn't look like a dead pixel to me....more like a large (probably 5mm in diameter) section of faulty screen.

Anyone got any ideas or has seen this before?

I haven't done anything yet but was going to phone the support number and see what they suggest. I could try taking it back to Tesco where I got it but I doubt they will do anything as it was purchased in October.

Almost same here... Can you post what support daid when you call them? I will do the same these days and will post the answer here.

Your defect can be seen on dark backgrounds only too?

Yes, dark backgrounds.

Took it back to the 'tech' team in Tesco and they couldn't even see it..... Useless. Will phone the nexus support line instead.
