I knew instantly when I saw the message asking me install the system update on my Nexus 7 that I would regret clicking "Install." And I was right. When I went to access my photos I could not see a rotate or select all function.

In recent years, all Google updates, whether it is the new Google Maps in Chrome, bookmarks or updates to my Nexus 10 or 7 they are regressive and result in a less user friendly device. I believe after I am done with the Nexus 7 and 10 I will look at another maker. Google has turned into Microsoft!

At any rate, is there a function to rotate photos or select all that I am just not seeing?

Thank you.

Okay, in typical fashion, after posting my question and asking if there is a select all function in the new photos folder, I now have found that by selecting the first photographs and then simply dragging a finger across and down, the remaining photographs will be selected.

So how about a rotate function, then?

Hit the pencil icon, then the one that looks like two L's, then the diamond with the semicircular arrow.

From what I saw, Google got a lot of compliments in the press about the revised Photos app.

The problem is, where are the instructions explaining how to use the new features? You can have the best in the world, but what good is it if no one can use it.
