Nexus 9 Impressions & Reviews

I thought the Verge's hands on article was great! I don't always care for the Verge and sometimes I think they are too hard on the device they're reviewing but this hands on was very positive... Plus I found it a little bit thought provoking and well written... I highly recommend checking it out if anyone hasn't already.

I've read a few of the hands on reviews so far and plan to read this rest this fine Sunday morning. Next up is Android Central!

Actually, he showed more than most have so far. It was nice seeing a game running on the tablet and surfing the net.

Good review. Sounds like the only negative consensus is, the rear camera isn't the greatest. Since I probably won't be using this much, I'm ok it not being stellar.

Not an issue for me at all. I never take photos with my tablets. Always use the phone, or dedicated camera if I'm going somewhere special.

Overall it seems like people are liking the tablet, calling it high quality and the best android tablet. Now just have to wait for it to ship out next week.

I'm excited to get this tablet. This will replace my N7 2012 purchased first day. I search for news on the N9 all day lol.

It is KILLING me not to be able to preorder the N9! I'm waiting for the "sand" color option and I have no idea when it is going to be released... Hopefully soon. My N7 (2013) will hold me until I get the N9, albeit having to live with a few issues with the N7 tablet. Looking forward to viewing webpages on a full screen.

Oooops. I posted the wrong link. Here's the correction.

HTC says this is the "best premium tablet in the market" but on first impressions, that is not the case. It is not event the best Android tablet on the market.

With Samsung Galaxy Tab devices and Sony's Xperia tablets the Android tablet market has improved radically in the last six months, and the Nexus 9 will have a battle on its hands to remain relevant.

Oy! I'd hate to have this guy review my app.

It's interesting that Google has pitched the price of the entry-level 16GB model at £319, exactly the same price Apple charges for the original iPad Air. If you want 32GB, and you probably will, then you'll need to stump up £399, which is more than the 32GB Air which is £359.

Nexus 9 hands-on first look

Yes, the iPad Air 2 is more expensive at £399 (or £479 for the 64GB version), but the question is whether a premium Android tablet is a better choice than a still-great iPad.

It's too early to say as we need to test the Nexus 9 more fully, but it's hard to persuade the masses not to walk into an Apple store to spend their cash.

All this pathetic talk about what the back and sides are made of! Who really cares as most are going to reside in a case anyways. I had a good look at numerous android and apple devices in my local stores yesterday and not once did I feel inclined to turn them over to see what the backs were made of.
