Nexus S live wallpaper! Update 12-16-10 (new LWP)

Absolutely no rudeness or negativity meant here but I seriously don't understand why everyone is so impressed by this particular live wallpaper, it's kind of plain. I'm currently using NexusKang and it's amazing, the amount of features and background customizations are incredible.

Hey Robert, I'm newer to Android and Android forums--just got a Samsung Captivate two weeks ago. Was reading the article about the Nexus S live wallpaper being available and saw you did it on your Captivate. I'm assuming you've rooted your phone--which I haven't done yet. But I also saw the sms, facebook, email icons on your home screen and love the look...what theme are you running? Or what did you use to get that look/feel? I'd like to try it out.

First download root explorer from the market it is free

Flash the file in recovery, and if you don't get the wallpaper your going to have to use the root explorer.

Copy the file on the root of your sdcard.

Using root explorer move the file by long pressing the file and select "move"

Then hit your back arrow and locate the file name system and press it.

On the top there is a file named app press it and then press paste.

After pasting the file long press on it and tap "Permissions" on the pop-up that appears, you have to check the all the option available about "Read", and only the first one for "Write". Reboot

Fascinate here and I am having the same problem. After trying both methods I am left with only 4 Live Wallpapers and my Nexus original is gone... Highly disappointed. Perhaps you can update the original post to mention a bit of a warning for Fascinate owners before attempting this.

Did anyone backup there original LiveWallpapers file before overwriting it? If so, can you attach it in this thread? Thank you.

im very new to this i was a good at doing hacks via iphone but the android is something that im not to great at but to me seems like it has more potential
now im trying to flash this by doing the update.zip then flashing the other file is this the way to go or is this wrong?
if its right does thisshow up on my wallpapers
if wrong what do i do
