Nexus this, Nexus that. Google using the name too much

Just my opinion, but I feel that they should have kept the numbering system when it came the phones and used a different naming distinction with their other lines.

They started with Nexus One, then named one Nexus S, then they go and name a tablet Nexus 7 and their media box Nexus Q.

That likely will confuse people that do not follow the tech world like the majority of users here do.

The scenario above about the two friends talking about one being confused because of thinking Nexus was a phone is common thinking.

When you hear iPhone, people know it is a phone. iPad = tablet, iPod = Mp3 player.

I love the Nexus name and am glad that they are willing to do what they are doing, but it has to reach the simple minded people in order to truly gain the marketshare that Apple has secured due to targeting those people.

The Nexus Q will be having a lot of people asking words that begin with that letter because the majority of society will not have a clue about what it is or does. The fact that it looks like a mini Death Star will not help answer any of those peoples questions.

And the argument about the Sony TV being compared to headphones is not the same thing, unless there is a Bravia set of headphones I have not heard of.

I totally disagree. Apple want's everyone to believe that they have only one product on the market, but alas, that's bull . Good luck getting your iPhone 4 to run Siri, even though it has "iOS 6". Just becuase you name all your stuff the same thing doesn't mean they aren't different ducks.
