Android Central Question

I was trying to revive an old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5110). It is in a boot loop.

I wanted to clear the cache partition or to factory reset, but when I try to get to the recovery mode I get the no command error. In the No Command error screen, whether I press Power/VolumeUP/VolumeDOWN or not, it makes no difference, after about 5 seconds the No Command screen goes away and the tablet returns in a boot loop.
I tried every possible key combination in the No Command screen, but nothing changes, I cannot access the recovery mode.

So I tried the ODIN way, after accessing the download mode I tried to upload the original firmware (the tablet has never been modified).
The ODIN process always fails after about 5 minutes with the following script:

<ID:0/003> Added!!
<ID:0/003> Odin engine v(ID:3.1301)..
<ID:0/003> File analysis..
<ID:0/003> Total Binary size: 1486 M
<ID:0/003> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/003> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/003> system.img
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Please help, I don't have any other idea...

Did you check PIT file and try to flash ? Wrong
You need to place each individual files in corresponding space.
BL
AP
CP
CSC
Never check PIT OR ANY OTHER SETTINGS
NOW SINCE IT DIDN'T LET YOU ...try doing factory reset in recovery.

Hi, thanks for replying,
I didn't check or flash PIT.
I just flashed with an AP that I've found on a forum
I don't have all the four Odin files. Samfirm doesn't give me the BL, AP, CP and CSC proper files. It just fives me three files that fail all the time.
I can't factory reset because I can't access recovery mode (I'm stuck in No Command error screen)

Ok that's why it failed you can't use just AP, you need to extract the files from sammobile

Your welcome, ok let me know!

I downloaded three stock firmwares folders from XDA, samfirmware and zfirmwware, but there's a common problem.
After extracting the compressed file, I've always got the following files (they differ just for the region codes):
BOOTLOADER_P5110XXDNB1_2507339_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
PLATFORM_P5110XXDNB1_2507339_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC_UVS_P5110UVSDND1_2653680_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5
SS_DL.dll

(this is an example from the XDA stock firmware files, but also the two others have the same files)

I don't know what to do with these, and I can't find the 4 files that I need for ODIN

Sorry if I'm replying so late but I was not at home during the last week.
Thanks for your reply. In the video, he flashes the stock ROM with the PDA/AP file. He also says that if in the downloaded firmware folder you have just one file, then you should flash it with the PDA/AP, while if you find multiple files in the folder you should flash with PDA/AP, PHONE, CSC etc.
The problem is that in the downloaded folder I just have one file, so I flashed it using the PDA/AP option but I got fail. In another folder, there are three files, but I failed that too. I'm going to try to mix the file combination in odin and I'll let you know-

Quick update

I flashed the following file
HOME_P5110UVSDMB1_P5110XXDMA2.tar.md5 (1,02gb)
in the AP mode.

It failed with the following script, but it took longer than usual
<ID:0/004> Added!!
<ID:0/004> Odin engine v(ID:3.1205)..
<ID:0/004> File analysis..
<ID:0/004> SetupConnection..

<ID:0/004> Sbl.bin
<ID:0/004> boot.img
<ID:0/004> recovery.img
<ID:0/004> system.img
<ID:0/004> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

Then I flashed with the other folder, with the following files
BOOTLOADER_P5110XXDMI1_1709803_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 (2,21mb)
PLATFORM_P5110XXDMI1_1709803_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 (1,14gb)
CSC_ITV_P5110ITVDMJ1_1796109_REV02_user_low_ship.tar.md5 (341mb)
Respectively in the BL, AP and CSC mode. I have no file for the CP.

It failed with the same script
