No flash got you down? Try this fix

When I tried downloading those .apks via chrome's "save link as" and try to install them via ES File Manager, I get a "Parse Error - There was a problem parsing the package" error.

Any ideas?

What versions of Flash ate you linking for your Adobe Flash Player_1.apk & Adobe Flash Player_2.apk?

I can copy over a Flash 11.1 (11.1.115.12) apk from my phone (Nexus / ICS) - but it sounds like I would also need an older version too.

What I did that worked fine:

1. Downloaded using computer
2. Put in Google Drive Folder on computer, allow a minute or two for files to upload
3. Open Google Drive app on Nexus 7, click on file(s), install as directed

(Be sure to have options set to allow non-Play Store apps to be installed, of course).

Dude thank you so much for this!! I was about ready to smash this thing put in the box and send it back and stick to my Acer a 500 ICS and my galaxy nexus.. I think this is such BS noT supporting flash when most of the web is still flash. I see a windows tablet in my future.. OK flash is running now I just need to find away to get stock browser on this thing Google is going backwards

The decision to not support Flash wasn't Google's, it was Adobe's. Eventually content providers will work it out and develop alternative delivery mechanisms.

Yup...not a Google thing at all, unlike with Apple, the blame here squarely rests with Adobe's decision to cease Flash support for mobile browsers.

I'm not sure if Windows Mobile OS browsers have flash support anymore either (if they ever did, I honestly don't care enough about WinMo to even know if they support Flash).

I fully understand the logic as to why Apple has refused to add Flash support and why now even Adobe themselves have stopped developing Flash for mobile...but honestly, the average consumer doesn't care whether or not websites *should* be designed to use HTML5 instead of Flash for mobile browsers, they only care that they are able to access the content presented to them. With any luck, the growing popularity of mobile devices and the death of mobile Flash will force devs hands to design webpages that comply with current recommended standards and make all this a moot point.

Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded and installed both flash apk's. Then downloaded and installed dolphin browser. Flash still isn't working

I have done everything step by step. It seemed when i browse the website with flash, it worked. But when I open the online video, the firefox just had no response, and I had to stop it by force. It was annoying.:'(

Thanks, resolved the online video problem. Yet there's a little problem with running video in full screen which led to browser faults. However, it's still a great help.
