How do you know if you missed any calls if you aren't getting any notifications? Maybe the calls aren't getting to the phone and are going right to voicemail?

Hi, i can pick them up on the call log and have tested some calls by not answering or declining.

I have the exact same issue, as my phone also doubles up as a work phone its causing real issues. On the S8 the issue was with an app called True Caller but i cant find it anywhere on this phone..

There seems to be a general issue with how the S9 is handling notifications. I can't get notification badges working on any third party apps: Facebook, FB Messenger, Words With Friends, etc. and am having the same problem you are with missed calls and voicemail. Notifications are just DEAD for those apps. Chatted with Samsung Tech Support...no solution. Others are having similar problems and are posting about it on Samsung's Support site, Xda Developers forums and other sites. Hopefully there will be a solution soon.

Works fine for me on t-mobile S9+. Just called from my work phone and shows in AOD as well as the notification pane.

I have the same issue... No badges at all, whatever I do with the adequate parameters. No missed calls number, no unread message count, refers to all apps that previously had that. I think it is an error... Question is only what is the difference in configuration that causes this issue for only part of us here?

I am having the same issue. The badges work "sometimes." The other times, I happen to stumble across new emails and messages that are waiting which I had no idea. I have checked each app settings and notifications and all are as they should be.

Having the same issue. No badges displayed after a missed call. Also missed calls aren't being displayed on the lock screen.

I would probably recommend you guys start providing which version of the phone you are running and on what carrier to see if there may be some trends.

I had exactly the same problem only fix atm moment is to swith off caller id and spam protection in the call settings. Had to found that out myself, took me hours and was so frustrating. Hope this works for you guys.

Try this:

You need to go to:

Settings -> Apps -> ... (3 dots in upper right corner) -> Special access -> Notification access -> Samsung Experience Home -> and switch it ON (if of course was switched off for any reason)

For me it solved the problem :)

Mine was already on, so wouldn't have solved it for me. Only thing that worked for me was what I suggested above.

I can't get the sound for the notifications to turn off. No matter what I do. I've turned the sound slide off and did it in advanced too. And I'm still getting the sound notifications. Anyone have a clue how to stop them. So frustrated my phone keeps going off.

I have endless notifications even if the sound slide is turned off. I only want the badges. Anyone have a clue?

Same issue spoke to samsung EE endlessly for two days...In the end EE suggested I put my sim in someone else's phone then miss call my number and see if the notification shows up on the other phone , this would determine wether it's the sim/network or the device. Surprise surprise it turns out to be my lovely frustrating samsung galaxy s9 plus!!!!! Not happy...guy worth trying it....mine is faulty and is going back getting a replacement
