IMO, Android does not do it well for Android users. Apple does. I don't care about the read reports. I'm referencing the capability to send videos and non compressed pictures thru the built in text messaging. iMessages does that for all iphone users, Android only if all people are using the same messaging app, which good luck with so many messaging apps. That's why I myself think that until Google sets a standard RCS messaging app that all messaging apps have to build from, apple will continue having the best text messaging app. It would be great if apple and Android phones could all have iMessage benefits between both devices.
I've used Google messages in the past and have had issues of not receiving all messages and others in my circle that tried it had those issues also.
