No more RCS is Samsung Messages?

The way I look at it is iMessage does it well for Apple users just like Google does it well for Android users they just need to find a universal way but really no big deal if they don't as the only really big thing you missing between both platforms is read receipts maybe their own emoji but nothing to go crazy about . Most people disable read receipts anyway from what I seen lol.
Full resolution media is huge thing, nothing like getting a video from an iphone. Being transported back to 2001 mms quality.

Never used RCS is garbage on Google Message and Samsung Message, i just use Samsung Message without RCS
I much prefer Samsung messages and can definitely live with out RCS. It was a nice little thing having RCS in Samsung messages. A few of my contacts I talk to on the regular use Google messages or Samsung carrier phone with RCS built into Samsung messages.

I hope Samsung continues to make their Message App available.

It does everything I need.
:)
It's all about the categories that you can make. I have one for favorites and one for work. Google messages only lets you pin like 3 conversations which is useless.

I don't have that issue with iPhone users
How is that even a thing for you. Its like the number one complaint with mms between iphone and android. Its never in full resolution when it sends. My friend sent me a video of her new dog, it looks like it was recorded on a 90's camcorder lol.

Especially in group chats where someone has android, all the iphone uses get crao quality videos.

I don't use group chats maybe that's why

I am curious as to how you get full resolution videos from an iphone on a samsung. MMS cant send an iphone video at full resolution. It has a limit on how big the file is and will compress it to be able to send it over the network.

I am on tmobile and this is from the support page.

"All networks restrict the size of MMS. For T-Mobile, the max sending size is 1MB, 3 MB for receiving, and under 3072 x 3072 resolution."

Could just be that they are small files being sent to and from you so it's not very noticeable.

It's possible they are small , I never paid attention because no one complained, I have TMO and Att both were same .

I think it's just more of an annoyance because the video my friend sent was of thier new doggy. I didn't get to see it full resolution, might be a little salty due to that

I really enjoy the categories feature. I have several & that saves time. I only have one pin & that's for forwarding spam texts to T-Mobile. I forward every single spam text I receive.

IMO, Android does not do it well for Android users. Apple does. I don't care about the read reports. I'm referencing the capability to send videos and non compressed pictures thru the built in text messaging. iMessages does that for all iphone users, Android only if all people are using the same messaging app, which good luck with so many messaging apps. That's why I myself think that until Google sets a standard RCS messaging app that all messaging apps have to build from, apple will continue having the best text messaging app. It would be great if apple and Android phones could all have iMessage benefits between both devices.

I've used Google messages in the past and have had issues of not receiving all messages and others in my circle that tried it had those issues also.

I am not sure how he is seeing full rez video on his android coming from an iphone either. I always have to send a link to my brothers, both iphone users. If they send me videos, it is a small low rez mess.

Apple has best texting app for Apple , Google messages been working fine for between it and Apple and their reaction they just cant see my reaction but videos, attachment been fine but we don't download any large maybe why i font see that issue but their multiple ways around that.

As for other messages issues are you in group chats? I dont know for group chats as ive seen it a issue members complaining about it that probably needs to get address between Apple and Android users and possibly some other things . I have a iphone but majority the time they catch me on my Andriod abd im not going looking for my iPhone just to send a text, facetime if i have it available then i use it or someone responds on that number.
