As far as "not needing to move on to the LG Nexus 4," I think it's still too early to "think" anything. When the Nexus 4 (and possibly the other rumored Nexus phones from various manufacturers) is
officially revealed, then it makes sense to start making decisions. Until then, everything is simple conjecture based on unconfirmed and potentially or slightly incorrect information.
On a slightly different note, I played with a(nother) Galaxy Nexus at a Sprint store tonight and I noticed that it, like all the other ones I've played with, had a certain dimness to it... I even turned off the auto-brightness and revved the brightness to max and the phone's screen was
still noticeably dim compared to other phones in the store. The first time I played with a GNex and saw the overall dimness to the screen, I thought it was simply from wear 'n tear in being a store model. But ALL the Galaxy Nexus phones I've played with (at Sprint and Verizon stores) are like this...
UPDATE:
After watching a video review for the Samsung Galaxy S3, there was an option in the 'Display' menu called "Auto adjust screen tone," in which the reviewer stated if said option is checked "On," the screen can become too dim for viewing certain things (e.g. sites with a lot of white, as in the background for example). Not sure if "Auto adjust screen tone" is included as an option in the Galaxy Nexus but perhaps since they're both Samsung? I've also noticed with the Samsung phones I've played with recently (the GNex and S III) that the screens tend to have a very noticeable bluish tint to them...

The last LG phone I had -- the Rumor -- wasn't a smartphone so with the Nexus 4 batting down the hatches, I wonder how LG's smartphone screens fare amongst the competition... Anyone?
