No notification on lock screen

Also try this. Choose a STANDARD cover screen home card (i.e. clock) and don't use the Good Lock one. Does that show the orange dot? If so, it's a bug with GoodLock modules. You can try adding a notification widget there too if you choose one of the 'informative' cards which will let you add a few widgets there. On mine, if I don't select a card with that widget, I get the orange dot. If I use a card with a widget, I get that widget on AOD instead.

Well I'm going give you couple more steps to try and outline them for you .

1. Go to settings>apps>tap 3 dots upper right corner and reset app preferences, this will reset anything that didn't go well with the transfer if you had made anything customized in any apps they will be reset to default.

2. Go to settings>general management>reset>reset all settings
This can potentially fix issues like your experience.
Thank you, tried these fixes-- nothing. I have been searching for fixes online and in more than one place I have seen people comment that the little notification light feature is no more with UI 8. So perhaps that's the problem. I did try a couple of notification apps but they're all wrong.

That's not true. Again, not sure where things are going wrong, but if I activate all notification options and turn on AOD, I get the orange dot on both AOD and the main flip cover card (or a notification icon if I'm using a home card with a notification widget).

Something not right, maybe stop by a carrier store or Samsung experience shop for further help as they can see the device in hand.
