After having done a lot of research, I've been using Business Calendar by Appgenix (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.appgenix.bizcal) for years and am very happy with it.
One of the life-saving essentials is the way it provides pop-up notifications when an alarm I set in the calendar gets triggered, and they fill the middle half of the screen, are in front of all else, and persist there on the screen until directly addressed with a snooze, edit or delete action. For a very busy business exec I find this more than vital. It's super-critical!
But my Samsung S9 was just updated from Android 9 to Android 10 and the first thing that occurred was a full-screen message informing me that pop-up alarm notifications from the calendar app are no longer allowed!
And now all I get is a beep and a line in the pull-down notifications, which I would say is very close to being entirely useless compared to what the persistent pop-ups did.
This is not acceptable under any circumstances. I absolutely must find a way to get that functionality restored, even if I have to go back to Android 9.
Please tell me there's a way to get this functionality back without reverting to the previous OS!
Thanks!
