no sound even though my volume levels are all up

my Samsung Galaxy S6 randomly decides to stop playing any sounds ringtone, text tones, media thru the speakers and when aux cord plugged in, i have to restart it to get audio back any help?

Welcome to Android Central! Does sound still come through your headphones when this happens? Do you see a headphone icon in the status bar, even if headphones aren't plugged in?

As B. Diddy hinted, it could be an intermittently defective headphone jack. Or it could be an intermittent speaker. Or it could be corrupted firmware.

You'll have to give us more to go on.
