First you're only talking about a few days, during the holiday season, that you haven't noticed any updates. Could it be possible that everything was updated and those that were not, were not because developers have taken time to be with their families? Just saying.

In the meantime, do you have automatic updates enabled? If you do these updates can happen in the background without intervention.

To do what B. Diddy suggests, go to your Play Store app>click on your profile pic in the upper right corner>Manage apps and device>Updates Available and check this list. I have a Google Drive update so if you have that, there might be one there when you check. I looked and was not able to find an old feature that used to show in this area called, Recently Updated, which was a list of, as the title states, your most recently updated apps. When this feature existed it was possible to see what had updated or installed recently, making troubleshooting some issues easier.

Anyway, let us know what you find and best wishes.

Hi VidJunky ! I turned off automatic updates. long ago. I like to see what coming down. Sometimes (when I have to use the phone) I always check for manual updates, I average before Dec. 23rd. appx: 3 - 6 updates a day. sometimes more.
Yes - I do have a Play Store app on the screen. On the play store app I would use the "manage" tab under my profile pic, & "updates available" for "this device" since May of 2023, Only the games I pay no mind to. Never had any issues? I do what "To do what B. Diddy suggests, above" Just wondering why no updates since 12/23? Maybe it's a holiday issue. thanks for the reply mate... Cheers

I'm looking through my most recently updated apps, and it looks like there haven't been any significant updates to the core Google apps since before 12/23 (with the exception of the Google app, but I'm in the beta program for that app, so if you're not, then I'm not sure if that's a good comparison).

It can be a little tricky to compare other apps, since everyone will obviously have a different list. Do you have PayPal installed? The last time my PayPal app was updated was 2 days ago. Telegram was 3 days ago, Starbucks 4 days ago (those are relatively common apps that I figure you might have as well).

Keep in mind that devs often take a break over the holidays, so that might be a big reason why you haven't been seeing any updates lately.

I went to this site: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/home Lot of tabs on top to search this answer:
Currently receiving regular security updates.
Device launched on April, 2022
Security updates will stop on April, 2025
Launched On: Android 12
Next OS: Android 13
This device will receive at least bi-monthly SMRs updates
Please note: Channels and regions may have different launch dates and support cycle may vary.
Security patch details for all Motorola products

Does not say anything about the play store apps? Looks like "End of Life" for moto support for the 2022 ??

It may be already at EOL. We are less than 90 days from the 1st of April, the date stated that security updates will stop. If it were me, I wold consider the device to no longer get any more system updates (nothing is holding any company to fulfill what they say about update deliveries).

There can even be a difference between users in terms of applications. @B. Diddy said he didn't have any updates to core Google apps, but I had an update to Maps and the Android Device Policy yesterday.

To add to my above post...if you are referring to system updates, it's possible that most of Moto corporate was off for the last 2 weeks as well. Or, most of the development teams was taking time off, making further development slow to a crawl.

Ok, so just to clarify -- you were talking about OS version upgrades and security patches in the first place, and not app updates for apps installed via the Play Store? Because in your original post, you said, "I would always get a update on apps almost every day"

All my searching on the moto site. Nothing was said about app updates. I was under Software\System updates - after I entered my IMEI I got the 2 screenshots above.... I'm going to take it one day at a time. The 2025 Stylus will be out the mid of this year. (on a google search) Have no idea about the google apps? My last moto overall security update was November 26th. If I get any more info will post back. Cheers !!!

"I would always get a update on apps almost every day" I would like to see what apps they were going to send me.
So I disabled Auto-update on the Play Store ..... got to go & read mailware logs. cheers

Hi

Your thread is a little confusing, are you talking about app updates like your title mentions but then I see your talking also software/security updates which both are different , can you clarify exactly what your asking?

Is there any reason why you don't want to get app updates from Play Store? Updating your Play Store apps is a good security practice.

I would always get apps (that I would need) from the "google play store" There's updates on Maps, Files, Contacts, ect...
That was my original post. I did not expect to find out that in April 2025, I would not get Security apps (or downloads) from Motorola. Go to the website I posted in no. #6: https://en-us.support.motorola.com/app/mcp/contactus ask them?
I didn't mean to confuse anyone. Updating your Play Store apps are great. So what's moto going to do with the 2022 stylus phones we have in the way of Security Updates? Try the contact us: Community "Ask a Question" I do manual updates from the google play store (when there available) good luck & have a good day...

Ok, thanks for clarifying. Most phone manufacturers besides Google and Samsung are not very good about maintaining security updates for more than a couple of years -- especially for budget phones. Moto is notoriously bad about it, but that's partly how they keep the cost down. If longer post-purchase support is important to you, then you should consider getting Pixel or Galaxy phones.
