You can always get a free Google Voice number and have it work on both phones ...I would have a Pixel and an iPhone if they could share the same phone number.

Not really. T-Mobile has that feature which they call digits. The text just didn't work well if you use iMessage.Last I heard, that's called cloning and it's illegal.
Big-time no-no.
You do know that not everyone gets the iOS update on day one due to overloading the network. Would a day or 2 really kill you? I know here we always like to be first, but it it wasn't for this forum or blogs you wouldn't even know that there was a new update out. First world problems.
A day or two would not kill me, but it is now Dec 21, and I still don't have it for my Pixel 6.

P6 still on Nov security patch. Verizon prepaid
We already knew that , when they expected to roll the update out ?In the for what it is worth department, I had an extended conversation with Verizon technical support this morning. They informed me that they are holding the update at this time. So, we all have to be patient
Now there is the rub, alas, when questioned, the Verizon representative could provide no further information. We already knew that , when they expected to roll the update out ?

I'm betting we will see a larger combined Dec and Jan update, the first week in January.
I'm still guessing Jan 10. Jan 3 is right after NYE long weekend. Do we really want to combined Dec/Jan update right after NYE?! Considering what the Dec update did, and they weren't hungover?!
