No update?

There are problems/bugs with the Dec update. Likely working on fixes for most of those with the Jan update.

"Likely" being the operative word. Would be nice if they issued a statement. After all, they hyped these devices as ultimate Google phones with timely updates and all. Not saying they aren't that or that they won't be getting timely updates in the future, but would still be nice to get an update as to what is happening behind the scenes with the update now; after spending a grand on the phone

Google doesn't care really. I doubt they would ever admit to something being wrong. To them the update is released, it's on the dev page. Time to focus on January!

Still have no December update on my 6. At this point I'm assuming that Google pulled the update due to all the issues with it.

They finally announced the pull. No update until late January.

"The Pixel team paused the December software update to Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices after some users reported calls were dropping or disconnecting. We have now identified a fix that will roll out in a software update by late January. This update will also include all the fixes and improvements that were originally planned in December. If you received the December software update on Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro and are still experiencing mobile connectivity issues, you can revert to the previous software version using the Android Flash Tool (flash.android.com) and performing a factory reset. Please back up your phone before restoring to the previous software version. If you are not experiencing mobile connectivity issues, no action is required. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we roll out the fix."

I wonder if they were holding off on announcing anything until they had a target date range. At least we now know it'll be in late January.

Imagine if they had said something like this 2 weeks ago? Instead of just trying to sneak it in right before NYE? Ohh Google, they never change.

While commendable (?) this does not quite fit my definition of either “transparent “ or “forthcoming”.
