No update?

I think you have to take it into account. This is a new phone with a new chip and Android 12 coming right out of the box.. the first couple of months are not going to be as smooth as plenty of people around these parts are accustomed ... Although it is frustrating, the good thing about having the pixel is that you can OTA sideload like some of us have done and hopefully everything falls in line timely going forward. So for now I would give it a few days and see if the OTA comes through the phone...

So you are ok with being an unpaid beta tester for Google?
I dropped Samsung like a hot potato for doing the same thing with the Galaxy 6.
My Pixel 6 Pro did an update right out of the box, that should be enough for it to be stable. Finger print sensor problems does not make for a stable phone, not when the Pixel 4XL's face rec. worked perfectly, for me at least.
The 6 Pro is supposed to be a better phone isn't it? Not if you can't unlock the bloody thing!

I'm not being a beta tester on my end. I'm sorry that you're having issues with the fingerprint, but that's not the case here and there are plenty of people that don't have issues with the fingerprint, I've been good out the box and I see improvement with updates which is what I would expect from any phone ...

Edit and let me add that. I totally understand your frustration. I know I would be feeling the same way if I was having the issues that you're telling me which I believe you 100%. I also enjoyed 4XL face ID which would have been nice if they at least had a second option for everyone...

Weird still no update on my 6pro. Usually it's pretty quick and no problems. This is a pretty slow roll out....

I agree, making me think there may be problems with the update. My other pixel phones got the updates right away.

Same for me. Best Pixel ever and fingerprint works well.
I really want everyone to enjoy this phone and I hope it improves for the ones having issues. It's really a shame. I know there's always some problems with any release but it'd be nice to see most everyone enjoying the phone the way it should be..

I'm hoping the update, if it ever gets here, will fix the finger print sensor problems.
As it stands that's about the only thing keeping me from really enjoying my P6 Pro.
Also I let Verizon put a screen protector on my phone and I'm wondering how much that is contributing to the problem.
in my 60 years, 25 of that being a Verizon customer of one or more products I've learned never.. EVER.. trust Verizon!

I'm curious, do Apple phones not do what they are advertised to do when the product has been released for sale?
My wife got a iPhone 13 a week before I got my Pixel 6 Pro. she's not have any issues with her iPhone. Not that I would ever want one personally, I'm just curious or is it just an Android thing.
All I read was all hail Android 12, its not all that different from Android 11 that I'm noticing. I'm not the power user many of you are I'm sure.
Now I'm hearing how great the 6 Pro is. Coming from a 4XL, at least the face recognition worked flawlessly for me, can't say that for this "in screen" finger print sensor so far.
What was wrong with the one on the back of the 2xl?
Mine still works great as my wife's sister uses it daily.
Sorry, if I buy something new I expect it to work as advertised when I turn the key or push the button.
The BS we the consumer put up with from cellphone makers is just that.. BS!

What exactly are you having a problem with on the Pixel 6 pro? It sounds like all you're really annoyed with is the fps. There are a lot of enhancements coming from Android 11, especially in terms of privacy and material UI.

Sideloaded the update this morning. It does seem like the FPS is a tad faster. I haven't noticed any other changes.

I carry an iPhone 12 Pro daily and to be honest with you I love Apple because the updates everybody gets it the first day it's available. But I have to say I've seen plenty of bugs more than they used to be in the days and I've been using an iPhone for a long time... I think the iPhone runs smoothly, but it does have it's little share of bugs. Of course it's using face ID so that is one of the best ones out there and hasn't changed since it was first implemented... Only gotten better

I wonder what's going to come first, my shipped pixel stand, or this update. Cool thing is, the update fixes the charging on the 6Pro so it can utilize 23W wireless... Thanks Google ??????

I respect your opinion, but to be honest IMO, this is the best pixel phone to date that I've had, including the 2XL and the 4XL.. I know plenty of people don't like the fingerprint sensor, but I have no issues with that as well.. but I can understand the frustration some are having with it...
This is my opinion too. My 6pro has been fantastic. I've had nexus/pixel phones since the galaxy nexus. I've tried an lg g6 but went back to pixel within a couple months

I would have a Pixel and an iPhone if they could share the same phone number.

Unlocked P6Pro on ATT. No update yet, but I'm not experiencing any issues. Best Pixel ever

Ground Control, this is Unlocked P6 on AT&T. No update yet. Patiently waiting. Phone works great. Tell everyone back on Earth to pray for us up here. Over.
