No Verizon WiFi Calling on Unlocked S7 :(

Has anything changed with the ability to do WiFi calling with an unlocked Galaxy S7 on Verizon?

If you have the U model of the phone and are on Verizon you won't be able to do wifi calling at all. Hopefully that clarifies rather than confuses.

For Christ's sake, I am ---->this<---- close to just giving up and getting a Skype number and use that for eternity.

Seriously, Verizon is critical for me because of their coverage, but the bloat has absolutely killed the longevity usefulness of the Note II within a couple years of owning it, and I'm reticent to make that mistake again by getting a locked phone from Verizon.

There seem to be reports here and there of the unlocked S10 (at least the S10e) somehow working.

There are others chiming in there too with success.

So check and see if the Samsung firmware has been updated to a more Pixel-like setup that works with Verizon wifi.

I have an Unlocked S10+ (bought directly from Samsung), and I have WiFi Calling. The Verizon store rep turned it on for me.
