Not getting emails

I have just recently started using the Samsung email app on my s5 and it is synced with my Gmail acct. However I am not getting the emails in the email app on the gear s. Is there something I need to do to make it push them to the great s?

Make sure that the email app is selected in the gear manager on the phone ... I think the section is called notifications.
