Not happy at all with LTE on this phone

You can also try doing a network reset to see if that helps. Also, is your device IMEI updated on your account? That can help as well to make sure your device is provisioned properly on the carriers network.
Is this an unlocked or Verizon version?

I have the unlocked 512 N9 and using with Verizon. Seems no better or worse than my Verizon S9+.

I let you know this weekend. Going to a Bama game with 100,000 friends. :)

Please report back, I'd be interested to hear about your experience. Have you had success with prior Samsung phones there?

This tends to happen at large events. Basically, if you have a solid connection but slow data, you're probably dealing with the network not having enough capacity for the number of users accessing data at that moment. Basically you get queued until it's your turn.

What you say is true but I was able to play live video at the same venues in prior years, just not with the Note 9. Video is very data intensive.

Yes, but again it's never going to be consistent. Smartphone sales rise every year but carrier infrastructure not as fast. It's the luck of the draw a large events. Also unlocked devices may not have the priority of service over a carrier branded one.

Honestly, with the Note 8 last year, my son's iphone and wife's S7 all worked great until game started. I guess everyone starts checking scores, texting etc, and then becomes worthless. I am on T-Mobile. I imagine just overload.

It could simply be a technical issue with the network at the time. If it's working elsewhere just fine I don't think it's the phone.

I have a little BBQ cooking show on youtube and I can tell you uploading videos definitely takes way longer then my p20 pro....

I can live with it..

When at stadiums and arenas, make sure to check for WiFi, often it IS there (almost always), and sometimes it's free! If you are a Comcast cable subscriber, you should also have access to their hotspot WiFi network, VERY often that will be available especially in stadiums/arenas they own or manage.

OP here.

This isn't good...I'm in a suburb of L.A. Note 8 got over 100mb in this exact location.

It’s easy to test the issue. Next time at a large venue check a bunch of other people’s phones.

If others on the same carrier have issues, it could just be the carrier congestion. If others on the same carrier are not, it more than likely phone related.

p.s. I’ve had connection issues in certain parts of stadiums but not others. This may not be the issue, but just in case...

Lol yeah that's pretty bad. Did you try doing a network reset?
If that doesn't help I'd do an exchange or warranty replacement because that's definitely not normal.
Or at least call Verizon to see what they can do.

This has absolutely nothing to do with your smartphone but due to your carrier/congestion. You really expect to get 100 down and up at a game? Just enjoy the game and put your phone down.

Key word is "got" though. Unless you have them side by side to test you really can't compare. Testing in a location one day and then testing in the same location a month later are drastically different.

No, I don't expect to get 100mb during the game but I don't expect to get "no internet connection" while the person next to me is watching live video using their Note 5 on the same carrier as me (Verizon).

Only way to truly know if it is the phone is have a someone have a 2nd Verizon phone side by side with you and run speed test and see what they get. If other phone is good then I would reset phone and if still no good, exchange.

I have a replacement coming next week.

Good luck. I tried a Note 9, S9 and IPhoneX (Tmobile) and all lost all data when game started. At least in my case it is carrier issue overload. People next to me with A$$ still had service.
