Hey, do you by chance have developer options activated?

The only ones that I have activated are "USB debugging" and "verify apps via USB" and those are on by default, I didn't turn them on. I did have the keep screen awake while charging option turned on but I just disabled that.

I checked my sound and notification settings as well. "Block notifications" for Facebook is off. Meaning I should be getting the notifications!

Yeah, I saw that. I haven't had any issues since deleting the apps since I prefer to have notifications and my battery is still doing really well.

I'm having the opposite issue. The damn app won't stop sending me notifications even after disabling them

This is the only other thing I know of that it could be, besides maybe your phone, which I doubt is the problem....are these settings.....the last screenshot you should click each one to see if it's set to get that particular notification, good luck, if you've tried all these already, sorry in advance..

Oooh I've never looked into those settings. I just went through them, I'll see now if that fixes it. I turned them all off and then back on.

Well it didn't work, I got a comment on my status and of course, no notification. Ugh. This issue used to be just receiving some only every so often but now I don't get ANY. I hope this issue is fixed, I sent a report to Facebook.

Drive, Excel, Google Play Movies & TV, Google Play Music, Hangouts, Instagram, Milk, OneDrive, OneNote, Pages Manager, Photos, PowerPoint, Samsung Gear, Samsung+, and Word.

The only apps from that list that are connected or related to fb are Instagram and pages manager...have you tried enabling them and testing to see what happens?

I'm in the same boat as you! I used to receive all my Facebook push notifications and then one day then all stopped. I have researched the web high and low and have tried all of the recommended solutions. Super frustrating. I am hoping for some kind of fix.

Thank goodness someone else has the same issue as me!! Yes, I've done the same thing, Googled this problem and couldn't find anything recent or anything that worked. The app has had several updates since this problem started and still, nothing has changed! I'm hoping that a big OS update maybe will kick something into gear that will get them to start working.

Same here in Italy!!!
It started 2 weeks ago, 0 notifications. I've tried everything suggested here and in the web, and nothing worked. I tried to contact FB, but no answer... this drives me crazy and it's so annoying. By the way, is a problem related to the account and not on the smartphone: my girlfriend logged into facebook from my oneplus 2 and notifications were back again. Then I logged in...and they were gone.

I've had my new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus for almost two weeks now, and have been experiencing this issue since. It's mind boggling. Samsung can't help. Facebook support is essentially not existent. Tmobile is clueless. I've tried every method posted here and elsewhere with no resolution. If anyone else has this issue and has found a way to resolve it please share.

Nope, still having the same issue. I'm hoping maybe the update to Marshmallow will solve something? I don't know.

I have had the same issue with Facebook as well. I ended up uninstalling it and installing an app called Folio. It sends me notifications now and I actually like it better than the Facebook app. There's also another app called Metal that works well too. Both can be found in the Playstore.
