Not receiving notifications from a certain app?

[AC Question]

Auto-sync is turned on as well as having the 'restrict background data' option unchecked. The app is Bleacher Report and notifications are turned on all throughout the app. Also, I have tried uninstalling it and reininstalling it. I'm using the Droid Maxx (love it, just got it).

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, select Bleacher Report, and make sure the Notifications box is checked there.

In the Bleacher Report app settings, can you select the actual notification tone? Or are you not even getting anything in the notification area?

Yeah I can select the notification ton in the app, and I have notifications turned on in the app - still nothing. Not getting anything at all. I don't know what the developers could do about this situation. I appreciate any help I can get. Maybe somebody else experiencing a similar issue?
