The solution to hold the volume up, power, and home keys while restarting and wiping cache fixed my problem with my S7 and Gear S2. Thank you!

I have solved my issue with not receiving any notifications on my Gear S2 since my Galaxy S6 Edge updated to the Marshmallow operating system. I had done a factory reset on the watch and that didn't help. I had verified every setting and still received no notifications on my smartwatch. I cleared the cache on my phone and everything is working perfectly now.
To do this on the S6, just restart the phone while holding the "volume up", "home" and "power" buttons all at the same time until the recovery menu appears. Use the "Volume down" button to scroll down and select "wipe cache partition". When this completes, scroll up to the reboot phone option and you are done. Don't worry about damaging the phone, the cache partition is just temporary files and those temp files are what was creating the conflict that caused my issue. It all works as it should again. Thank you everyone for your input.![]()
Yes. This will do a factory reset so the watch will be like it was the first time it was turned on. I had to do it on my S3.Will this work for the Gear S3 Frontier?
