Not seeing SD Card

I have just got this phone (H440N) and find that it will not see the MicroSD card. I have tried two cards (4GB and an 8GB) both of which work OK in my HTC phone and on laptop.

Both are MicroSD HC. Maybe it doesn't accept HC cards? I can't find any info on that in tech specs.

I am finding it difficult to insert the cards though so that may be the problem. There is no obvious "click" that the card is in place.

Any thoughts?

The phone accepts up to 32GB cards (HC is any card from 4GB to 32GB). I suspect that the card port is bad.

Thanks Rukbat. My suspicion too.

I have a support ticket open with LG but they just ask me to do factory reset. Well, I have had this phone for three days and the problem was there straight out of the box. So, I can't see the point in reset to factory when that is pretty much the state it is in!

LG agreed that the slot must be faulty (there should be an obvious click but I get nothing). Advised to go back to retailer.

No quibble from O2, they will do a "doorstep" swap for a new phone today. Good service.
