Note 10+ Fingerprint failure CONTEST! - Post your number of failed attempts!

By the way, I completely gave up on fingerprint access. I have been using facial recognition full time for the past few weeks and find it very reliable. Facial recognition works regardless whether I have my reading glasses on or not. Also works well in low light too. Only time the phone doesn't recognize my face is if I'm wearing a cap on my head too low, in which case I need to pull up my cap a little higher by a few inches and then it works fine. I no longer get rejected by my phone and I'm feeling the love again. :-)

Well for me. I use both a lot. Facial Recognition when driving, and FPS for when im not driving... Almost crashed when i used just FPS while driving xD

Mine only fails when my fingers are too dry. If I do a quick lick of the finger, it works immediately.

Intermittent success for me. Multiple finger registrations with varying angles, but unfortunately an inconsistent experience. I think @rabernet is on to something. Fall and Winter are not kind to my hands, and that may be a factor. Comparing with my Pixel 3, the Note 10+ is a frustrating experience. Pixel 3 works perfectly regardless the season or finger/hand conditions.

That's a great point, I wonder if weather/humidity plays a role. Mine works generally fine, although I'll go several days where it works great, and others where is does not. Reminds me of a ballplayer on a hot streak, or in a slump.

I have absolutely no problems with the fingerprint sensor. Sadly, facial recognition has been a total failure for me. The phone doesn't even store my face. Plus or minus my glasses. Could my OtterBox Defender case be an issue? I haven't bothered to try it without the case on.

Only one way to find out

I gave up on the fingerprint reader. It never worked. My cheap phones that I have work much better than this Note 10 plus. I'm starting to wonder if I made a huge mistake with this purchase.

Maybe try double tapping the locked screen and then using the fingerprint sensor.

I have had 1,400,025 attempts. I win - what is my prize :-P

seriously, before I started using face scanning, It worked most of the time. very few rejections. however, since I started using face scanning, the quality of my fingerprint scan has gone to the point where I rejected once every single time.

first time setting it up i didnt realize you had to press so damn hard. thought I was gonna crack the glass. In the 30 mins I played with it I had more than a few misfires.

Same for me, never works when my thumb is dry, works ever time after a quick lick. (of my thumb, not the screen ;) )

Has anyone that has fingerprint accuracy issues tried without the preinstalled screen protector on?
