Android Central Question

I have blue light filter and night mode off. Is there something that would only make certain application have yellow tint? Tinting is not present on homescreen, messages and a couple other applications. Anyone have ideas on what could cause this?

From you telling me only certain application , I think it's from that application, which is it by the way?

Gallery and pokemon go are the two I noticed it in so far. It's not turned on at the homescreen, chrome or messages. But it also only turns on when its night time.

Hi, welcome
Strange , you using a launcher?

I had this problem with Gallery and Google Photos and it was driving me nuts! Finally found the solution. There is a hidden night mode in Google Play Books. Open any book, tap the Aa on the upper right. Go into night light settings, tap Schedule and turn it off completely.

I think your right , I do remember now you mentioned someone had issue like that

Omg!!! Thank you!!! That was driving me crazy!!! That's so dumb it affects things outside of Google Play Books.

I have the same issue.

I did try the Google Play Books trick, while it reduced the yellowing significantly, there is still yellowing when I use Google Photos and Gallery apps at night.

This is turning me nuts. Ahahahah

Hello,

I have the same issue with my Note 10 plus. I tried the trick with Google Play, but it doesn't change a thing.

The yellow tint appears in the Kindle and Moonreader App.

Now I got the Samsung Tab S6 and it has the same issue. I really loved to read but I can't look at the ebooks for 5 minutes. And then I am back on the internet to find a solution.

There has to be something else to solve this.

Hey Sarah

I also use the Moonreader app. Go to your accessibility settings and try to change the colour correction there. I changed mine at colour adjustments (personalised colour) and increased the intensity to the highest level.

Thank you, it actually worked. Or you can use the greyscale feature but it's bothersome to change it on and off. You can try other reading apps, it doesn't affect all of them, for instance pocket reader. But so far moon reader is my favorite and I was almost going to give it up because of the yellow tint.
