...that's if Ft. Worth doesn't get crushed by Hurricane Laura - they are still close enough to the coast to take some destruction from that Mutha!!! Hopefully, mine is still enroute and not down there yet... I haven't looked since yesterday morning!

Chatted nicely, argued, escalated and tried everything but nada

No option other than to wait for defective buds live to be delivered on Tuesday and then I can contact them to get the promo code for buds live. At least they didn't tell I'll have to wait till they have to process the returned item. I'll check back with them on Tuesday and I'm pretty sure that time they will tell I'll have to wait for the return to process

Do you have any Samsung Customer Service Center nearby? That is one of the things I like about having one not terribly far away, and now that they have opened Samsung Experience locations, some of those places can facilitate repair/replacement as well. I have a feeling that if you were able to bring it to one of those centers, they would have just replaced them especially since they are not scarce.

Hmm I have Best Buy and Samsung experience area inside that (probably it's the same). I did go there on release day but because of covid-19 the entire process was broken. I was just waiting for some 20 minutes in the Samsung area and was told by best buy that someone will attend to me. But no one came by and when I checked they said they are all busy. Interestingly I didn't see any Samsung rep in the Samsung area, usually I see them and not sure because of covid-19 if they removed the Samsung rep to reduce number of reps inside best buy.

Probably should have given another try this week before I sent over the buds. Too late now

Ahh, to be honest, you're probably better off doing what you did. Those Samsung reps in the BB stores I think are BB employees trained in Samsung or something and they probably would tell you to contact Samsung directly. It's the Samsung standalone outlets that I think can often help, or their Customer Service Center which is probably the most helpful. That said, I am surprised they didn't just send you a new one, and then ask you to return the old one by XX days before you get charged for the new ones. However, my experience with sending stuff to them has been good - they do actually seem to be pretty quick with stuff like this once they get it.
 
Gear4 Battersea case in today. Beautiful case with that soft orange D3O interior. Have always loved this case for my past devices. The Note 20 Ultra was has been redesigned with a flat soft touch finish on the sides which is much nicer than the past glossy rubber sides.

Especially in my case where I had to return via prepaid FedEx ground and then wait for them to receive before they give me coupon to order new one. May be because it was a promo and also an accessory that's why it's like that. Irrespective I feel they should have sent overnight label to send to them and once they receive next day I should have got a coupon to order replacement with overnight shipping. That I can call good service. Ideally they should just overnight me new one and ask to ship old one via whatever crappy shipping speed they want to use and then charge me if they don't receive the old one before X number of days.
 
Just picked up the OtterBox defender series for my note 20. I thought it would be to bulky but after a day I am use to it already. I usually pick up the symmetry case but I thought this would be better protection plus it comes with a belt holster which is convenient.

May be but they are Samsung so they shouldn't have to charge me before hand for a replacement. Charge it if I don't send the defective one, they don't need my $160 before hand since I'm pretty sure I need to run behind Samsung support again to take that charge away once they receive the defective one. If they were competent then yeah I have no problem them charging me first and refund once they receive old one.

But we all are in agreement they could definitely do better.

I got the Samsung rugged case and its quite nice on the mystic white note 20 U. The silver camera bump complements the silver finish on the case.

Does the camera bump stick out, or is it flat with the case? Looks like not much protection for the camera based on the pictures.
 
I just got a "Shipping Notification" from Amazon - Supcase must have read my "Amazon Seller Review" of them sending me an UB Exo instead of UB Pro earlier this week by UPS Ground. The new Pro is coming UPS Blue and will be here Tuesday from Seattle!!!

I like the UB Pro. I bought it for my husbands s10+ and it has been a great case. Still looks new. The UB Exo looks like it has clear plastic inserts. I had an i-Blason Ares case that had the plastic so you could see the color of the phone. After months of sliding it in & out of my purse, the plastic had scrape marks & looked terrible. Although to it's credit, it protected my s9+ which I just traded in. The case, however, looked like I played Hacky Sack with it.

That was my first thought when I pulled it out of the box - nice, sturdy frame - just like the Pro, but the clear plastic immediately turned me off! I put it right back in the box and got on Amazon.com and started a Return and Review!
