So what do I do. Alliance shield wouldn't let me choose it as device admin. It only let me enable the beta version admin.

Yeah thats strange , but thats the only way to enable those settings , the dialer doesn't work, maybe reach out to the dev through discord and explain the situation.

What's my other alternative to rcs. I liked the stock app because I could categorize conversations based off the contact. Can Google messages do this.

I followed the steps and used Alliance. No Advances RCS.
Confused about which Carrier App to install, Magenta Hug or Google?
Unlocked Note 20 Ultra on Tmobile.
I installed Google Carrier services. Have the Google phone app. Not sure what "that one" refers to above....Google or Magenta Services?
Maybe it just takes awhile?
Rebooted several times. Phone got really warm..

I gave up on those steps and just "bit the bullet" and started using Google messages. All I had to do is enter my phone # and press verify and within 5 minutes I had RCS wver since working perfectly
