I'm actually the opposite. The idea of not having a watch on is...incredibly alien to me. I have always worn one. I even funded the Pebble when it resurrected the smartwatch and led to what we have now.

Yes I know what you mean having worn one forever prior to the advent of smartphones. I can see why watch sales have declined me being one of those stats.

Android Wear OS and Galaxy watches (Tizen OS) are pretty much useless in terms of app support . Personally don’t see them appealing compared to Apple Watch and it’s a shame we don’t have great Watch options for Android phones and developers don’t care about wear os or tizen os.

I don’t miss not using a watch with Android because they aren’t great, but if you want to use one Galaxy Watch should be on the top easily. Every new Galaxy Phone pre order i get the corresponding Watch only to be disappointed with them. Personally think you aren’t missing anything not using smart watch especially on Android.

I have both an Apple Watch Series 5 and Galaxy Watch 3 (both LTE) and the Watch 3 does everything my Apple Watch can do. It comes down to personal preference.

I tend to agree here, while you can start to technical and claim the third party app support for Apple watch, I think majority of use case is a health and notification device. If that is your case then they are really similar. I would love for Samsung to allow googles voice to text for doing some quick replies on the watch.

Yep. I only use my watches to get notifications and use for health purposes. That's all I need it for. And both can make calls without the need of a phone. I never used third party apps on my watch, but everyone's usage is different.

The Galaxy Watch can’t do simple things like approving Authenticator notifications from authentication apps right from the watch like i can do on my Apple Watch. For example i can look up authy authentication codes and so many other apps here and there like that i use which aren’t on Galaxy Watch.

Yeah it’s mostly personal preference and use case dependent. If it’s only health and notification pretty much any smart watch works.
