Note 3 Problem - 'IndexService has stopped' and screen freezing every 2 minutes

I tried putting an empty folder on the root of my sd and so far I only got 1 error message, that's when I tried to view my sd files via the very slow wifi in my ofc. Will continue observing - fingers crossed.

I found this thread yesterday because I was having the same index service error. I started having the error after uploading over 2 gigabytes of PDF files onto my phone all at once. After removing all of the PDF files the error Stopped. after taking the advice from one person who replied I have started trying to upload the PDF files in small batches. I have been batch uploading these files and unplugging the phone from the computer after each batch to see if the error comes back. I have uploaded about 4 different batches of PDF files and have yet to come up with the error again. to anyone who got this error after uploading a large amount of files to the phone I suggest deleting the whole batch of files and uploading the files in smaller batches.

my technique above did not work. I tried putting in pdfs by 5's for every 10 mins still the pop up re appears by morning. My last recourse was rooting and removed the index service ap by titanium. hope this one will work (fingers crossed) or we'll have to flash back the stock firmware and update to the latest firmware (that takes about 24 hours to download for the note 3 dual sim to download) and see if the problem resolves.

Might be a silly thing to say, but your 64GB card, is it a really fast read and write speed? That could be the problem that there is too much info trying to be written onto the card at a faster pace than what the card can have written onto it at any one time (if you get me!)

For some reason I have S Finder pop up randomly and I don't know what I'm pressing or the gestures I am making to induce this!! A-nnoying!

i had the same problem, i tried to freez the index service with Titanium Backup, and now everythig works fine
