Yeah the camera on the Note 3 is great. You just need to know how to use it. I turned off the low light setting and have been taking great pictures since!

I am not sure if it's exactly a low light setting or what. In the camera settings it's called Smart Stabilization.
The pictures attached show the differences. I didn't mess with any lighting.
First one is with the Smart Stabilization turned off.
Second with it on.
Third shows it in the settings menu.
